headlight adjustment

After installing my H.I.D.s One of the lights pointed lower then the other, I haven't bothered to get around fixing it until now. Is it easier to adjust them from the fender well?

Re: headlight adjustment

Only one way i think......from the top under the hood. It's a torx bit/head.

Re: headlight adjustment

ty, is it a hard reach? Gonna go buy a torx screw set now. Want to know if I should get some short ones or long ones.

nah just get a cheap set of the regular torx bit inserts. its right on the top of your headlamp assembly. you wont miss it.

park your truck about 15-30 feet away from a building and aim accordingly.

Re: headlight adjustment

you guys talking about the whole with the white plastic piece in it? If so I stuck a torx bit head in it and tried turning, won't budge. Looks like it is destroying the plastic too.

Re: headlight adjustment

Look from the top, there's an adjustment screw (will only adjust up and down).
OEM headlights

You don't even need a torx head, a plier will work just fine.

Re: headlight adjustment

Hey I started twisting it with a plier like you said, it started working. However I still couldnt line the lights up, I turned it all the way, It wasn't leveled still, tried to turn it some more, heard some noise and now its back to normal. One pointing down, one pointing straight. Did I do something wrong?

Re: headlight adjustment

Hard to adjust HIDs lights especially when they are in a housing not designed for them. Try to adjust the position of the bulb itself.
