I don't know how new they are but rough country is offering a 3 inch lift with new upper control arms and spacers for under 300 bucks. Just wondering if anybody has seen this or used it them selves, because all the other uca's seem pretty expensive.
have you seen the uca's? Especially next to say a prg one? Then you will see why they cost soo much less. You get what you pay for and i for one dont want to be driving down the interstate when an uca breaks.

I admit that they do look a bit lighter duty but i guess that only use and abuse will tell how they hold up.But for the price you could almost buy two sets for the the price of the prg units.
I'm sure they have tested the strength of them. That's to high of a liability for them to just throw them out there. A large portion of the price difference is because they use a standard, easy to replace if needed, ball joint. Not some ubber-expensive whatever they call it joint on the PRG and Total Chaos. Don't get me wrong, I love PRG products, but the price is why I have nice groves on the coilover bucket right now

I have those same grooves in my coil bucket and think of them as cool scars, But as cool as they are i don't really want them to get any bigger and if these uca's will hold up to mostly pavement pounding and the occasional off-road foray at half the cost then i think I might just give them a try.
Less than half the cost if you can buy the UCAs only without the coil spacers. I've got the PRG mini-lift. I just need the UCAs. I haven't checked any sources yet to see if they are a boxed set or two separate items.

Do you think that the ball joints are just over the counter anywhere ball joints? Or maybe rough country specific, it would be great if this was just a standard piece you could get anywhere.
I think all of us leveling kit guys are intrigued by these comparatively cheaper ucas, someone should give them a try. A three inch front lift, with deavers in the back would be perfect with no coil bucket contact.

Well i am no expert and this may be the same on the prg and chaos arms but i looked at the installation instructions on the rough country kit and it says that the coil bucket will have to be grinded down to work. was'nt real crazy bout that.

I was wondering that as well if you find out let us know, but heck if it will do it without hitting it might be worth tradin in the old 2.5"
yeah i just read the instructions as well. If you have to grind the coil bucket anyway, whats the point in gettin new UCAs? Sounds like they aren't comparable to prg or tc.
