I was interested in them when I first got my truck, but I've heard they suck big time when it comes to lighting up the road. I bought a HID kit instead. Very happy.

I had a kit on my F150 for two days and pulled it off. It was an aftermarket EBAY set. They sucked, provided significantly less illumination than my crappy stock lights (F150). If you do go for it make sure you pay the extra $ and get from a reputable manufacturer.

I love them - but I put hids in 'em. I wanted HID's, but i wanted the cutoff too and the angel/projector housings were the only way to do that without a custom built solution....

So with these headlights + Hid Kit will give you quality lighting and a good cut off???? And if you use these lights with OEM bulb you dont get good lighting and they don't work so well???? I want these headlights but have heard they are not good.... They dont give off much light, but I have a HID kit in my OEM headlights and if you buy these aftermarket housings and add HID they will work I would by interested in getting a pair... I have researche and found a company that will retrofit our OEM housings with aftermarket projectors and the price range for those is ranging 700-1000. But they do look good!

Yes. I have a little hot spot on the road in front of the drivers side light which proves out that the projector quality is typical Chinese. But the cut-off is superb. And high beams (still stock halogens) are pretty much useless as the low beam hids provide all the light you could ever want.

My wife’s G35 has factory HID’s and my truck is on par.

One word of warning – once you experience these things, you’ll never want to drive a car/truck without HID’s at night ever again. While on vacation a couple of months ago the rental car (GMC Envoy) had stock halogens and I kept complaining about not being able to see…

If you already have a HID kit, you will need new bulbs - the projectors take an H1 I believe....

You can buy the halo type lights off ebay with the HID kit already installed or you can buy them seperately. Most of the halo style lights take the H1 bulbs, as clancy said above.

You would order them just like ordering for the OEM lights, but instead of ordering 9006 lights, you would order the H1 style.

What he said. I ordered them seperate for what it's worth.

Also - my housings have the chrome finish inside. With a projector I can't see where it would matter, but with a reflector (oem) setup, a blacked out interior would have a negative affect on the light output...
