Re: 55w HID's, anyone have them?

Since it appears a lot of people are going with the 55 watt kits did anyone get the special power adapter with this kit. Has any anyone had any issues with the power wires from the orginal head lights? Also is it true that a 8k 55 watt kit looks like the 6k 35 watt kit.

There's a special Power adapter?.. These kits are just plug and play your headlight wires should not be affected by this kit. unless when you mount them to where the wires are going to be pinched. Very easy install and Yes the 8k 55 watt kit will look like the 6k 35 watt kit... It says it on the website when you order.

Re: 55w HID's, anyone have them?

yeah, like i said, it was a guess, but as informative as this site is, i'd think we would have heard something about it by now if there was any kind of problem...

Re: 55w HID's, anyone have them?

Does anyone have a picture of the lights on at night?? i'm thinking of getting a set but want it to be a little more white as compared to blue, thanks!

Also is this the kit most guys have?
DDM 35W & 55W Slim Ballast HID Kit: DDM Tuning - HID Kits, HID Bulbs, DEPO Lighting, BMW and Porsche Performance Accessories

And while on the topic of lighting, what do you guys find is the brightest bulb assembly for the stock fogs?

Re: 55w HID's, anyone have them?

I was looking at the pics that you posted were you mounted the DDM kit. I am trying to figure out were that is located at inside the engine compartment. Would you be able to give some clarification. Also since you installed the 55 watt kit did you get the extra wireing hardness? Do you have any problems with flickering with the lights?

Re: 55w HID's, anyone have them?

I am looking at the 6000k kit, possible the 35watt for lows and the 55watt for the highs.
Should i get 55watt for both?
6000K is the purest white, Correct?
