I am looking at the 6000k kit, possible the 35watt for lows and the 55watt for the highs.
Should i get 55watt for both?
6000K is the purest white, Correct?
5000K is more white than 6000K
Man, 35W kits seems bright enough for me. 55W kits must be super bright.
Do you all think 10000K would be good and have a decent amount of blue in them but not too much? I like the 8K color on 35w HID so i figured 10K would be the way to go?
^^^X2^^^ Does anyone have the DDM 55watt fog kit? I'm thinking of getting one or should i just go w/ the 35watt?
Chris, go with the 35 watt set. The 55w may fry the wiring harness and lens. The OEM fog lights are already made with a cheap plastic lens. Paul and I both have some issues with the lens showing signs of crazing. Paul has the factory bulbs and I had the Silverstar. I've got the DDM 6k now and they are plenty bright. I can snap some photos if you want. Hey, when are you in O-town again?
I would like to see some photos. Trying to get ideas how should I mount mine. Also if you could a close up shot of the headlights off would be great. Does that reflector in the center need to come out? Plus what version of the silverstars do you have in your fog lights. Thank you....
I had 35w 6000K lights before changing to 55w 8000K. The 55w are bright bright white, where the 6000K were blue-ish. The higher wattage drowns out the color. Also, I never in 3 years got flashed with my 35w lights. Driving home from the Packer game last night I got flashed probably 8 times in 100 miles. These might be TOO bright.
