So i keep thinking about calling racing quits...but there is something about it that just wants to see this truck be the fastest or one of the fastest...the problem out here in socal with my local tracks is they suck...the weather out here for racing horrible...there are tracks a little farther north that have 500 to 600 da's but thats a 4 hr drive....my best 1/4 was a 14.5 N/A and when i had pgm my best 1/8th was 8.89 with pgm...so...im going to start over either with brand new long tubes, cai, exhaust, gears, built tranny, uprev, and cams when they come out(side note they are supposed to be out end of the year)dr's and go race up north..plus some new 22's and tires....or my other plan to lift it with a bulletproof 12 inch on 40's and 22's....i just cant make up my mind...thanks for listening to my bs...

Which are you gonna enjoy utilizing more?? Do you prefer spending your days at the track or out exploring the wilderness?? Personally, I like getting out in the wilderness every chance I get BUT there's becoming less and less of it that's accessible every year. Adding a Poll to the thread might help us vote.

I already told you to slam the ***** on 24s, add gears, performance mods, and you are set. Out in so cal, how many times are you really able to off road? I know out here I can't do that much.

In my humble opinion, trucks are for haulin, towin, or muddin. And sure, showing off.
We all love to go fast. But there is only so much you can do to a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick to make it go faster. A lot can be said for the lowered Titans that blow the doors of the "sports cars" you see running around. But, again, IMO you just cant beat a lifted truck. They turn heads like no ones business, they have a lot more practical uses, you can do more, see more and not worry about as much as you do with the race trucks. And do it on a modest budget.
But like Pops said… what do you do more? And what’s your fancy?
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

thanks!! thats my biggest prob...is that i love........ the look of our trucks lifted...i have had it lifted before and loved it...but there is just something about this truck going fast and unless you have been in a fast titan its hard to understand the joy of beating 2300lb car in a 5100lb truck its like a drug!!

I voted keep racing. Personally I think the whole fun in racing these things is no one expects them to be that fast. I see lifted trucks (and lifted Titans) around here like every other vehicle LOL...I mean, you got 16 year old girls and soccer moms in lifted trucks all over the place (around here)....I will always look at a lifted truck if it is done right and say "nice truck", but hearing a nice sounding street truck and watching the rear squat down and take off just gives me a good feeling, especially if it is my truck....I know your tracks suck, but at least they suck for everyone else too, so you could still go out there and beat 350Z's, G35, Mustang GT's, Charger R/T's, etc in a big truck. You have had both, so YOU should tell us haha. I absolutely get an adrenaline rush going down the track and have people coming up to me asking me what I have done, and with all the Titans torque, I love surprising faster cars off the line by jumping out in front. You could have looks and speed if you keep racing.....But I don't know, this a personal preference question, I've never had a lifted truck (although I was going to do it to my Titan when I bought it) so I can't say
