290.4 hp at the wheels is what I got from the mph.
Another calculator says this:
Horsepower Results - 1/4 Mile Method
Your Titan weighs about 5082 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 15.405 seconds. That means that you've got about 274.75 HP at the wheels, and about 357.17 HP at the flywheel.
Calculators mean very little due to the variances that they do not consider like gearing and traction and frictional losses. Dyno is the better way to go - preferably with the engine out of the car/truck.
And I weigh about 170.

the head Thanks for the info.Still,15.4 and 90 mph is a heck of a run.Nissan must not have prepped a bunch of ringers for the mag writers.Your run-15.4 90mph is right there with them, and your run is an actual time, right? You didn't "correct' for altitude, humidity and temp like the mag articles do.Of course,It is fair to do those corrections,so that the comparisons can be fairly made between trucks run under different conditions.
I'm impressed with the run,and the truck;Nissan didn't exagerate the trucks hp like Ford, and Dodge did. Thanks,Charlie
Very impressive numbers.
I've taken my 5.4 2wd Ford to Dinwiddie (1/4) a few times.
The best I could get stock was 15.712@85.21
The truck weighed a total of 4300# and has 3.55 gears.
This site has over a 1,000 trucks and only two of them are Nissans: www.dragtruk.com/

That sux that you got suckered into the Ford, thats pretty slow. The only thing fast on a Ford is the rate of depreciation.
Va Motorsport Park and Dinwiddie are one in the same. I shouldn't have created that confusion. I wasn't there that day but my weather was similiar.
My post was only to 'give' info to this forum.
Wouldn't nor couldn't try to brag here.
I've researched this for five years and that is the best the F150 can do in stock form. Add 4wd, longbed, supercab etc... and it is downhill from there.
That a 4wd extended cab Titan is in the mid 15's stock is quite impressive.
I noticed that Corey's 60ft, 330 and 1/8th would have made quite a fun run with me. I lost my tenth by the 1000' and he just had too much on the top end.
I know nothing about the '04 new model Ford.
No track results to be found.
New F150,nice truck, not as quick as 300 hp would indiacte
Raoul, the new Ford is a pretty good driving vehicle. The moto mags are a bit down on it because it doesn't run as fast as the claimed 300 hp would indicate. It runs about as fast as the new Tundra DC with 245 hp.Other than that,it has been met with near universal acclaim-nice ride, nice interior, very quiet, excellent crash test results, adequate power etc.I test drove it,it was nice, but I wanted curtain airbags.Charlie

What a ****. I don't think a 15.7 1/4 is bad at all for a '99 260 hp F-150 considering most of the 305 horse Titans are only running a few tenths quicker.
The Titan is an awesome truck but it is not "God's gift."
Don't forget the Coke bottle, the Home Depot dyi intake, removing the cats, air cleaner, spare tire, lowering air pressure in the rear raising in the front, shackling the suspension with a liberal portion of bovine scatology.
Do not believe what this guy posts anywhere.
