Dyno Results!!! For Kn

Hi GUys,
As POromised here is the Dyno for the KN FIPK Kit, sorry it took a while, but ive been busy with work! MIdrange gains were 16hp to the rear wheels, and top end was 10 hp. both runs done at 2nd gear with 87 octane. Not to bad for a 280 dollar bolt on.
EDgar
PS, once i have my exhaust in ill dyno it also, Just short 80 dollars on the exhaust.

Peak HP?Peak power other trucks/

Hey what was your peak HP?I am curious how the Titan compares to other trucks. The Tundra V-8 makes ~205 stock on Dynojet dynos. Why don't you askthe dyno guys what sort of power they are seeing from Tundras,Hemi Rams etc.I hear the Hemis only make about 235 on a dyno(some problem with the ECU and trans. control)
I am very curious to see what the peak HP(and RPM) is.Thanks,Charlie

Actually, I own one of those Durdge Hemi trucks and my truck puts down 260 rwhp and that was with a Magnaflow Muffler running in place of the factory tank on it. My truck is a Quad Cab 4x4 with 20s on it. Anyways, let's get back on subject. The Titan puts down good numbers.

search a bit, i think a person dyno'd his truck and it was 256hp and 300lbs of torque. and our engines have more power then a hemi up to 5100k or so.

interisting how the hp dyno is displayed in a full trottle run to show its best gains. the torque dyno looks as expected, not to be a wise arse but too bad it couldnt show results a 1000rpm earlier. looks like you gain up to 5lbs of torque up to 4k, then it lights up. hows your mpg ? any increase in that is a blessing lol

FWIW you can't dyno a conventional auto tran vehicle accurately at less than about 3k rpm. Dyno should be done in 4th in the titan to get a 1:1 ratio. When they/you floor it on a dyno in 4th with the rpm less than say 3k rpm it downshifts, that's why most dynos done on auto's are usually 3k rpm and up so it doesn't down shift. Just thought you guys ought to know that if you're wondering why there's no low range readings.
