I got it put on in about 1.5hrs, made a few mistakes. Couple things I noticed when installing. 1st you must remove the windshield washer tank to remove one of the bottom air box bolts. Not a big deal to remove, the biggest deal is removing the low wash sensor plug so you can pull out the tank. 2nd don't be like me and install the mass air sensor backwards or it won't run but a few seconds. 3rd you must consider is the Volant air box does not fasten down to the truck like the factory setup..This really sucks in my opinion. I will test the setup today to see if I can feel any difference... I can already tell the air intake system is alot louder.

Pictures coming- Yes, for those wondering does it seem more powerful.. I can lay some rubber easier then before... As I matter of fact didn't mean to squeal the tires at the stop sign.

Cool! I was looking at the K&N system and also saw the Volant, so I'm interested in how yours turns out. As far as not being able to secure it, does it look like you could fabricate your own brackets to mount it?

That's it.....I'm sold. I had been debating on whether to get the K&N or the Volant cold air intakes, the K&N doesn't appear to be as well insulated from the engine heat as the Volant is, or as well constructed. My opinion on this is from the photos posted here and on the net so I could be wrong about that but from what I've seen I think the Volant is the way to go. Great update and thanks. Time to order one and then head to the dyno after I get it installed. Thanks Liz
I just ordered one from AJ-USA for $296 and free shipping. I'm sure with free shipping they will send it on the slow train but that's ok, I can wait. And yes I also like how the Volant has a sealed box whereas the K&N relied on the hood to seal it off. For the small difference in price I still think the Volant looks much better constructed. AJ's also sells a ram-air hook-up designed for the Volant for $125. I was tempted to get that too but I think I'll wait and see just how much I like the overall system first. Keep the updates coming Liz and thanks again. PICS please!!!

Does anyone know how I can upload the pictures? The attachment says the file is to big.
You have to scale the picture size down to get the smaller file size. What is the current file size? On most programs you can reduce the image size to say about 640x480 (or whatever you aspect is) and that will make the file size smaller.

I saw that too but I thought I'd try AJ's, they have a lot of great stuff so this is kind of a trial order to see how good they are before I order more. I checked with our local site sponsor first but he didn't have any listed on his site, just the exhaust systems.
