What the heck-Banks Exhaust!!!

I ordered my Banks Exhaust last week from Jamie, because everyone was saying how great it was. "The engine felt smoother, power was gained across the whole band and the sound was incrediable"... Those comments is what convinced me to buy.. Now I'm thinking I just wasted my money and I should call Jamie to cancel order...

I dont quite follow... are you saying it felt smoother and gained hp after the install? If so, why would you want to cancel?

In a first for Gale Banks Engineering, the Azusa-based designer and manufacturer of aftermarket power-enhancement products has created a performance system for an imported vehicle. Designed to easily fit Nissan’s new full-size 5.6L Titan pickup truck (named the "2004 Pickup Truck of the Year" by Four Wheeler Magazine), Banks’ 3” stainless steel Monster Exhaust provides the sound and look of power while reducing backpressure by 92%—i.e., virtually eliminating it. As a result, the Titan engine is able to produce more power with less work and lower exhaust temperatures.

Took this from the Banks website... Funny how it mentions producing more power with less work....

I think they meant less "torque".

I sure hope not!! I have this feeling I'm going to be disappointed.. It's upsetting to have been reading all of these posts for the past several weeks about how much power and now it's "low end torque suffers". BANKS, PLEASE PUT AN END TO THE MADNESS!!!!!

they were not exactly clear "When" it would let your engine produce more power with less work.

I justed emailed Banks to complain about the complaints of people loosing low end torque. I also asked for dyno proven results as advertised throught FAQ's section of website.. They also mention in this section about how reducing backpressure gains torque/hp.

Probably right after the after-market supercharger becomes available.
