I agree with 1Titan... though I have done a little street racing in my time. Many, many moons ago... when I was younger and dumber.
I still fight the urge to want to race someone (such as other trucks or young jerks) but I then think of things I didn't know then. Things like the "what ifs?"... what if I blow a tire and lose control... or the other guy does something similar. What if I have a mechanical failure and though no loss of life... will I be able to afford the repairs? Then the last but not least... what if my luck sucks and I get caught by a cop and ticketed... then there goes my insurance. Damn... I sound old don't I? hehe
I think that a true racing test would be to do it in a somewhat controlled environment. Such as a strip where its designed to have racing performed and where "innocents" are somewhat removed from being involved involuntarily. That way you can be sure as things as simple as road grime or gravel in one lane is not present to skew the results.
