Yep, that was the price I paid. Very low price for a K&N filter. I think I paid $70 for my one for my Tundra. Should be here tommorow.. 2 days!

K&N

i installed the drop in. one thing you can feel is more torque. one way you can tell is to roll on the throttle, it takes more foot pressure to make it down shift. it does have a little more gett-up

If you don't want to deal with E-Bay check out www.n2performance.com -drop in for $37.97-free shipping. Also check out their Lecture Hall to learn about air- intake and exhaust performance.

Got the filter this morning. That was fast shipping. I notice a lot of places are switching from UPS to fedex. I have as well.. much better shipping prices and faster delivery...

Anyhow, do I even need to explain that install was a snap? LOL..

While revving in the driveway I thought I heard a nice "woosh" from the airbox.. but it may have been there before.

The filter isn't as "thick" as the stocker either.. the pleats are at least twice as long on the stock compared to the K&N.

Noticed maybe a little gain, but I'll give it a few miles before really testing. Every time I want to light em up that damn VDC kicks in and slows me down.. haha.. Tires spin, feel it pull for a split second, then it's like slamming on the brakes.

Wish it stayed off when I turned it off!

You know how fast the shipping is usually depends on where they are shipping from and where you live, not whether it is UPS or Fedex, i'm sure they are about the same time. Anywho, i'm planning on getting a dropin too because i just think it would be a waste of money for an intake.

No, they're not even close for most things. FedEx did some changes as of late that really make them worth using.

For example, I just sold a ton of parts from my ex-Tundra. This one cause me problems:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMESSO%3AIT

It was my fault I didn't look into shipping first, but I almost got hose.

Went to ups. Ask if they could ship it. Yes, they could, but for over $150.

Took it to USPS. They said they could ship it, but needed to either box or shrinkwrap them up first. Would cost around $85.

Took it to a couple "mailboxes etc" type places. Sure, they build a custom box for around $65 and ship it for over $150 (their premium over UPS of course).

I was ready to refund the purchase and throw the parts in the trash when I tried FedEx as a last ditch effort (thinking they would be the same as UPS).

The lady behind the counter took out 2 "ski shipping bags", put one of each end of the parts, put it on the scale, measured it, and it came out to $14 shipping to CA (and got there in 3 days). I then grabbed other boxes out of my truck and what would have cost around $9 to ship at USPS (and $20 at UPS) cost around $5 at FedEx.

The won all my business from now on. And the tracking number is free, unlike USPS.

is the feeling of more torque pretty significant? where do you feel it most? low end? top end?

Nah.. hard to say it's even there. It's at least worth not having to buy new filters every year.

Did any of you have problems getting the filter box closed after putting in the K&N?

Not, not any more than when I checked the stock filter one day. IT's a bugger getting those 3 notches in the back just right.
