Re: better gas mileage?

Buy a Prius.

Seriously, keep your foot out of it, below 2000 rpm or 2500 rpm. Don't have any fun.

Re: better gas mileage?

I installed an 18" magnaflow muffler (just replaced the stock, didn't get the catback setup) & did the stock airbox mod with a K&N drop in filter. I've seen about a 2mpg increase.

Must have been a change in driving style. I have a 14" magnaflow and airbox mod and I get the same mileage.

Like Ti'tntuff said...if you want good gas mileage, drive a Prius. If you want a cool, fun, powerful V8 truck, drive a Titan.

Re: better gas mileage?

Well all I can say is if you want to add mpg try intake exhaust and a tuner of some sort. But it's going to sound so damn good that your going to get into it more. These trucks really wake when you add the big 3(intake,exhaust and tuner). You can also add a cover to your bed and see of that works. All this might hp your mpg but it's a damn 5.6 V8 it's not made to get gas mileage. It's made to haul *** and make loud noises. Lol enjoy WOODY

Re: better gas mileage?

You bought a T v8 your gonna spend lots of money on gas. Enjoy the power underneath the hood It could be worse you could have a pocket full of cash and be cruising around a brand new focus or cavalier lol!!!!

Re: better gas mileage?

Let me put it this way.....

I just got a titan two days ago.. drove it back from sandiego about 200 miles... kept it under 2k the entire trip... estimated MPG was 14. why? 37" khumo roadventure tires 6" procomp lift 3.5" body lift stock exhaust and intake... no tuner.. never re-geared...

is it worth it? EVERY PENNY! damn thing is a freaking beauty.. crappy old f150 couldnt ever look even half as good... and yes i had the 5.4l v8 .. this thing kicks it *** even with those tires!

Re: better gas mileage?

Even if exhaust, intake, bed cover and tuner added 4 or 5 mpg (IF that), the $1000+ to get those things would buy a LOT of gas.

Re: better gas mileage?

do you have stock tires if no go back to the stock size and you will gain some gas mileage. I have a 2009 CC Pro4x I put on 33/12.50/18 and was getting 14MPG on the highway put the stock one back on 275/70/18 and started getting 17 easy on the highway..

Friends don't let friends add boost to their Titans...

2009 BLACK Crew Pro 4x
DT Long Tubes
Up-Rev tuned Stillen Supercharger
Level Ten Transmission
Level Ten Valve body
Level Ten TQ Converter 19kStall
Dana 60 with Tru-Trak
420rwhp 403rwtq

Returned to Stock nothing but problems...

i dont.... i dont even have the rod to drop the spare because the guy lost it.. but i couldnt pass up to offer on the truck...

the thing is immaculate and the engine was in perfect condition minus needing an evap sensor because the original broke from some mud-wamping. either way it was worth every penny... only hoping to get about 16mgp with a tuner intake exhaust and throttle body spacer...
