Flowmaster 50 Series..

Anyone have experience with a 50 delta flow or a 50 SUV Perf muffler?

Looking for descriptions of sound improvement over stock "throat" both interior and exterior on a Titan.

Thanks

40 series is going to be on the verge of illegally loud. To each his own, and I like the sound of a loud truck, just not on my own vehicle. The problem with sound clips is that they don't replicate the actual volume you would experience first person. You'll get the gist of what the note sounds like, just not the decibels. The only true way to tell is find someone with said muffler and have a listen. You can probably find some big 3 owner down in Savannah with a 40/50 series that you can listen to. Your local exhaust shops should also be able to give you some info/advice.

I had a 40 on my Chevy 4.8. I never got any complaints, it always sounded good. I just want to hear what it sounds like on the Titan. Not too many around here yet, certainly none with Flows.

I've found out that the Titan is far more sensitive when it comes to interior noise levels. Especially the CC. The factory location of the muffler is right below the back edge of the cab where the gap between the bed and cab begins, not exactly an ideal placement. Most of the GM trucks have the muffler back under the actual bed. You can put a 2 chamber 40 series on and still have a civilized interior sound level. But due to the Titan CC's short bed and big cab, the muffler has to be placed where it is. I even noticed the difference between the interior noise on the KC and CC. I test drove a KC and hardley noticed the exhaust. I didn't test drive a CC till the day I bought mine and it is definately more noticible. Either way, this is a very subjective choice, and there is little we can do for eachother on a forum other than give empirical info.

INstalled 50 delta flow today.

Installed the 50 series flow master today. Sounds like a real truck now...

Excellent flowmaster tone on the outside and considerable tone increase on the interior especially while engine is under a load. 1500-2000rpm range is the sweet spot for the deep tone.

Setup is a single in single out with 3.25" stainless tip.
