Magnaflow Catback Stainless Exhaust system.

I was wondering if anyone has bought and installed this kit. I posted the pic and the DYNO....imagine, a company that posts a Dyno for their catback system. I would assume that it will be competively priced compared to the Banks....I was told by someone up here in Canada that this system will be here by the end of June early July...

Just FYI

Thanks
Guy

It's interesting that they only show the results starting at 4000 RPM. I wonder what the results are down lower.

Since it's an automatic transmission that's what you will get on any dyno.

Looking at the photo of the kit, it's hard to tell, but based on the parts shown, it looks like this system uses the stock "y" pipe???

Wait until Sammy wades in on this system. He'll know more.

Doesn't get me excited at all. Looking forward to what Borla and Flowmaster
will come up with.

37L1, why don't you clear out your stored PM's so someone important can
get ahold of you?

Steve

I purchased that same muffler for my truck, it's not as loud as the banks, but mine had a terrible drone at highway speeds. from my experience with exhaust systems, especially titans, any 3'' comong out of the side is going to be loud, that's because the titan is so quit. i believe the best way to improve sound on the titan, is to run duals out of the back, getting most of the sound behind you. if i change my stock system again, it will be for a rear dual system. flowmaster and borla have them on the way.

Has anyone else actually installed this sytem on their Titan. The specific system I am referring to is the one pictured at the top, part # 15848 - Single side exit exhaust. It looks like the best bang for the buck. I'm itching to get this one but would like to hear more from some of the owners. Thanks.

Ha, what's that suppose to mean? All this is a system using an off the shelf Magnaflow muffler. You could probably save some money and just have the same model number muffler welded in place of your oem muffler. The thing I'm concerned about is that it runs the stock post Y pipe into a 3" pipe. In theory the gases will actually slow down when going into the larger diameter pipe, which might cause excesive back pressure and drone at certain rpm.

Well..the exhaust is on..had to cut just past the y-pipe like Speed Freak..other than that pretty easy to put on..sounds nice..real nice..no drone..at first I thought there was at 50MPH..but once it heated up..sound kind of died away..I'll get a sound clip later today and try and post it tonight..truck sounds really different now..puts a big dumb grin on my face everytime I start her up...
