A day at the track....

Well, me as an F-150 owner...I am smiling. I raced a 4x2 Titan 5.6 SE and an 04 Dodge HEMI. The Titan and HEMI both have more HP and TQ than I have and weigh less. I have a Reg Cab Short Bed 4x2 5.4L 3.73LS. They both have the lightest comparable models (extended cab 4x2 S/B Titan and R/C S/B 4x2 HEMI). The only edge I have is the gear ratio. I have 3.73LS and they have 3:36 and 3:55 respectively. Before you give me any BS keep in mind they both have MORE HP and TQ than I do. Also I have an exhaust installed.

However, I ran bone stock, (prior to the exhaust) a 10.06@70 in 90 degree weather and 100% humidity. My 10.06 bone stock first run is quicker than either of them ran. I have a best of 9.95@71 in 75 degree weather in 80% humidity.

Well, with the heat and humidity(95 and 100%) tonight I ran a 10.0004@70.8
mph.

The Titan ran a best of 10.12@69mph(out of two runs). The HEMI a best of 10.09@67mph ( a best of atleast 7 runs). Traction problems for the HEMI but not on his best run. HE hooked and pulled a10.09. Even on the street I take him by a little bit time and time again. I had some minor traction problems and the Titan had NONE!!!! He had the slowest time of the night. Granted there was heat and humidity but neither ran better than me. I am pleased.

Also, these guys are my co-workers and friends so I have much backup for these runs. They will confess via phone or here that I beat them fair and square on more than one occasion....bone stock and w/ my exhaust. Both the HEMI and the Titan are great trucks. But, I special ordered my truck for this specific reason (just as I did my Ranger in 97....which was untouchable after the SC). Everyone assumes the F-150 is slow and sluggish and I know better. I have beat the same Titan and HEMI on the street and on the track. So, please have respect for all trucks. The F-150 is no slouch and I am PROOF. If I had a 4x4 6000lb F-150 against a 5400 lb HEMI yes I would lose.

I have the lightest F-150 available with low gears and the most powerful engine. Even in the lightest Titan and HEMI I have won. Now, I cannot beat a HEMI that has a 3.92 diff. But, when I do get beat by him it isnt by much. Maybe a truck length.

you are so full of crapp, in any magazine you read, the titan is a almost a full second quicker than the ford. i drove the ford before i purchased the titan, titan will run circles around that truck. sounds like you are caught up in some type of typo.

With the gearing, it is possible. As for the weight, did you weigh the trucks or go by what the magazines tell you? I'd like to see what happens on a 1/4 mile track. The Titan has a tremendous top-end surge and the hemi doesn't suck either.

Where did you run?

magazines are trash for times..it seems they are biased at times..take it to the track..or elsewhere..and prove it..as for the F-150..lower gears will make a difference..I haven't had a chance to get to the track(Cecil County Dragway)..yet

Please, please, the man said he beat a Titan and a Hemi with his stock F150. Let's all give him the proper respect he is seeking for the fastest stock F150.

I also have ocean front property in Arizona that I will sell for very cheap. The property includes a house from a little old lady in Pasedena who just passed away. She wanted the sale of her Dodge Daytona Hemi to go with the deal. I think it only has 1000 miles on it. She only used it to go back and forth to bingo on Saturday nights.

This is just the typical comments I expected from people who refuse to believe their truck could be beaten. I will post time slips and give all the details.

I ran at The Emerald Coast Dragway in Holt, Florida. Myself, and both of my friends went up there with the intent of racing. My buddy in his HEMI is much cooler about the whole deal than the Titan owner was. He kept saying as we were in line that he wasnt worried AT ALL about my truck. Then he got beat. BTW, I have never ran 10.1 at the track....ever. My time from the factory was 10.06@70mph. He got beat hands down. What do you think that extra 5 HP and 10lbs of torque does for you anyway. ALL of the comparisons you see vs. the F-150 are rated on an extended cab Lariat w/ 18" wheels and larger tires or it's a 4x4. How many Regular Cab 4x2's with the 5.4L and 3.73's have you seen tested? Thats right. NONE. I have posted time slips before and I will AGAIN today just for the people who think the Titan is break neck fast and so DOMINANT in every field.

The HEMI guys said the same thing. Also, we are working on a video for the whole thing too. I will post a pic of my # on my truck and match it to the timeslip. My best run was against a NOS Cobra. Just to show you that the higher # is me. He ran a 8.5 or something. Give me a few minutes guys for the slips. Also, as I said keep in mind it was 90 degrees and 100% humidity outside too. Earlier this spring I pulled into the 9's easy everytime because it was cooler. They are on the way.

What does your truck weigh?RPMS at 60mph?

hellbound 150 what does your truck weigh,or what does Ford say it weighs in the owners manual or in the brochure?
How many RPMS do you turn it top gear at 60 mph?Yeah,I know you don't get into top at a dragstrip, but I am curious to know more about your gearing-that is usually a good indicator of how "low" the gearing is-tires size and trans gearing make just the differential gearing not very informative.
What is the redline on the 5.4?.
Was the Titan a XE,SE,LE?Did it have Big Tow or Offroad?I would guess that quickest Titans are the SE KC with BT or offroad because of the 3.36 gearing(vs 2.94).The Titans the mags test always have the 3.36.Some might think the XE KC 4X2 is quicker, since it is lighter than the SE, and has 245/75 17 tires, but I don't agree-the gearing will beat the extra weight and "faster" wheel. The LE KC 2.94 is probably the slowest-heavy with 2.94 gearing-18" wheels.
Thanks,Charlie

who comes over to another truck's message board to brag about a win?

go brag to your F150 friends. and if you want a real comparison for which truck is faster, why dont you compare similar trucks: extended cab to extended cab with similar gearing.

your post only serves to show you have a small penis and are trying to make up for it by bragging on a cempetiting message board.

one more thing: the titan STILL looks better, tows more, has more standard hp and torque, a roomier interior, better sounding exhaust, etc. AND IT'S $4000 CHEAPER. no mater how many times you beat a titan, those facts will ALWAYS be true.

AND YOUR PENIS IS STILL SMALL.

Okay, so lets hear how I faked the timeslips and blah, blah, blah. Also, if you want timeslips with me vs. the HEMI I can post them even though they suck ***. We both roasted them out the line and I still beat him. The Titan and I never had the chance to race head to head but it was no contest anyway. He never ran faster than my worst time. Like I said, we are trying to get video up too.

Man you guys got yer panties all in a bunch dont ya. BTW, I paid a whopping 20,000 for my truck as is. After trade in I walked out the door financing 14,900.00. Your opinion on looks is just that...an opinion. Also, I posted here because of the immense trash talk by you guys about the F-150 being super slow and a piece of ****. Well, numbers dont lie. Show me some slips of a Titan running a 10.06 bone stock. Even if it's a 9.97 which I think I have seen, that is about a bumpers length.

Also, he has an SE 5.6L 4x2 w/ 3.36 gears. My truck weighs 4900lbs and I weigh 250lbs. Do the math. He weighs around 160 I'd say. He has 18" rims, with 265 tires.

Furthermore, do you want me to post a pic of my PENIS? You seem to be all too interested in it.

Okay, so he beat a Titan and a Hemi by .10 of a second give or take. Kudos to the man on his splendid reaction time. The lower gears and lighter weight help too. If your racing driver for driver, Hellbound has the best foot to floor time. Racing truck to truck, I don't know, I'm sure there will be individual cases where a supposedly "inferior" vehicle by test standards from the magazine tests will beat the "superior" vehicles. In this case, the magazine stated "inferior" topped the two "superiors". Bravo to Hellbound (and I mean no sarcasm). Lets start having some more drags recorded here and take the overall percentage to see, on average, which brand lives up to is magazine hype. Lets all remember that we are talking differences here of barely a second in most cases across the board as per the magazine tests. Hence there will need to be a large sample amongst us amateurs before we crown titles here.

Link to my curb weight and yours. Titan 4x2 Crew Cab is listed at 4,707lbs and the 4x4 is listed at 4,938 lbs as a crew cab. My truck as a 4x2 Regular Cab(which actually has a mini extended cab on it) weighs in at 4966lbs. I weigh more than your 4x4. With the spare tire removed and without me in it it weighed on a loading dock scale at 4890lbs.
