K&N CAI and Magnaflow

I am adding a K&N CAI and wondering if a Magnaflow CAT back exhaust would enhance the performance. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Hey MLV. I have a K&N Series 77 with a Magnaflow exhaust and the combo is great! This is the third truck for me now to have a K&N and Magnaflow combo. I used to have the Volant Intake, but I removed it because I did not like the droning/pulsation that occurred between 2000-35000 RPMs. The K&N does not have any noticeable droning or pulsation and the performance is great.

I have the volant and magnaflow--no drone at all (I have a 5x11 oval). the volant gets loud at 2900-3000 rpm then drops off quiet (on mine at least) the sound is the air being pulled in from the fender (this also the beginning of the peak HP and torque points on the stock engine. the newer voant model which supposedly everyone will get for free---quiets the noise considerably I have heard.

Note: IF you want the most low end torque (spinning wheels) but alot more rumble (which sounds very good by the way but the fam didnt like it too much) get the 5x8 magnaflow. If you want more hp, less noise but also less torque get the 5x11 oval. I have had both so I speak from experience.

That "Wide-Open" one. I forget its model number designation, but that is the name of it. Its a 3.0" single-in, 2.5" dual out. This is the third vehicle that I've had the Magnaflow and K&N combo and it works great.
