First off, thank you to the TT world for helping me with ideas on how to kill drone.
First off, let me give you a little history. I am a OIF/OEF veteran. I was also infantry. I tell you this because I now have a hearing disability.
So anyway, Titan + LT headers + B-pipes + cat-back = DRONE / Doug Thorley/Berk/JBA in my case.
Drone so bad that it made my ears hurt for hours and made it undrivable. Through the military I've been through alot of loud crap, and this drone between 1500 and 2000 rpm's feels like it rattles your brain.
So anyway, everybody talks about dumping the exhaust, and a 22" magi to replace my JBA, and a vibrant resonator.
Here's what I did...
Installed Vibrant Resonator after the muffler, kept my tip without dumping, and changed NOTHING else. Drone is gone completely.
Now every truck is different, however, if your running my similar setup and want to keep your exhaust tip, don't feel like buying a new 22" magi to replace your new cat-back's muffler, then buy the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator. Just make sure you install it AFTER the muffler.
Drone is 100% gone, and my Titan sounds like an absolute beast.
Thanks guys for your advice. Took it and got outstanding results.

Gone but NEVER forgotten.
It will quiten it a little but not kill the sound totally. I added a sound clip/vid in my signature of my dyno run. Turn your vol. up and take a listen to my titan.
You don't have to, but I did have it welded in place. I then had them paint over the welds with high temp paint to keep the welds from rusting over time.
King, this is a resonator, so there will be an obvious loss in your exhaust's sound.
Overall, if I were to give it a percentage, about 15 to 20% of your exhaust sound. Sounds the same at startup for me, however when I floor it is when it was a little softer. Still sounds great, just not the extreme loud it had been.
My truck with headers is still MORE than loud enough for me, and sounds great.
If you love NASCAR loud exhaust, but don't want drone, then there is no hope for you with just a resonator.
Here is my opinion.
If you hate drone, and don't mind some loss of your exhaust sound (just softens it, you'll keep that deep rumble you want) then this is for you.
If you want your exhaust to be NASCAR loud with no drone, then I would NOT suggest adding an "Ultra Quiet Resonator" to your vehicle.

I plan on installing one of these. What size do I order for the stock sized tailpipe?

then what would be suggested? I love the sound of my xr1 but I just need to get rid of the drone.
So this isnt the cone style that gets installed in the pipe?
No this is a muffler like resonator that is about 10 inch long and 6 inch thick, oval shape. I would say my truck is 10% toned down from what it was. It all boils down to, Do you want loud drone or just a TAD bit tamer sound with no drone? This thing will not cut down on power at all, it is flow through design.
I'm too a veteran of OEF and 22 years in army aviation with hearing loss, my exhaust setup is now too loud for me.
