This happens in the Maxima world as well. The Nissan MAF sensors are crappy. It's probably too late at this point, but you should have told them to immediately take off the stock parts they installed siting that you did not give them permission to do this. I know several Nissan parts people and my neighbor is a Nissan Service manager. Nissan can void your warranty on any part that you have replaced or if that part caused damage to another part. However, it is up to the service Nissan and the service department to prove that your aftermarket part caused the damage. I really don't see you having much recourse other than repayment for your K&N or intake that they took.
