I don't have the money for Cajuns now and need to focus the money on the headers and other costs. I have ALOT of other things to take care of and still don't have a job to pay for certain things not pertaining to the truck and now i have to drop $1000 on headers. I always wanted to get headers but not at a time when money is so tight...
I'm in the same boat, I gotta get those leaky manifolds off my truck ASAP but can't afford an entire setup. I plan on goin the obx long tube route hopefully in the very near future then I'll see where to go from there

On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being hardest install known to man 1 being rotating tires....what would you say it would be. and what would it pretain to...I really don't think I could do it myself but idk. I wish I knew more mechanically inclined people who could help out or i'd be getting outa this thing real cheap.

On a brighter note I'm heading to the place I bought the truck from to raise hell tomorrow because I haven't had the truck a year and the Nissan dealership said they've probably be cracked for longer. I bought the truck from CBS so we'll see what happens....We bought a warranty with the truck yet they said that its not covered unless its a certain kind of crack???????? how many different kinds of cracks can a manifold have....? anyway I'll know more tomorrowfor sure...
Are you 4wd? I am 2wd and I would say the header install on my truck was a 7.5 out of 10. It wasn't super hard just time consuming. I can tell you down to the specific tools you will need if you want to attempt it yourself. If you are 4wd you may just save and pay a shop to do it for you if your not mechanically able.

Well that makes me feel better! I plan on getting UpRev this summer sometime, after I top out in pay, and find a way to hide the $520 purchase from my wife. But that will be hard to do when she takes care of the checkbook.

Mine is 4wd and I would say about a 9 on the scale. Mainly because of the tight places you have to try and get to with a wrench and still apply enough force to break loose or tighten the header bolts.

ditto on that and the price for instal... then again a friend installed them but it did take a while and I do have 4wd, plus I had them put in DTLT's

Re: welp good ole cracked manifolds

I mean IMHO if I had someone to help me do it who knew just a little bit more then I do we could do it but I feel like a damn mechanic talking to my friends asking whats an AFR? (I am not calling myself a mechanic...) ........But I'll probably have to get it installed by someone else after tomorrow i'll know a final verdict and will have to start calling around after that. Being non flex fuel how long do you think I could go without uprev...? I know it wouldn't be ideal but just wondering.

what ever you do dont step on the gas too hard. I drove mine a week without uprev and felt like I was murdering my car if I did. then again I wasnt able to check any AFR's so I just ended up trying to not drive or being very gentle on it Minus the quick blip I gave it after picking it up from the muffler shop.... I had to LOL

just be gentle, I dont know how bad it actually is but it cant be too good either way.

Uprev makes osiris, but thats just the flashing program, you need cipher to data log in order for them to tune and send you your rom to flash to the ECU on your computer..

and no dont floor it without uprev lol... I mean do what you want but it may hurt your car.
