thanks, is there anyway to lower the back-end? obviously putting weight in it will do it, but is there something else?

Greg, what was the final lift? It's a bit hard to tell with your truck parked on a slope.

Nice work. I have my credit card ready. I never understood why they didn't just make something like this in the first place. Makes much better sense than going the other route and changing spring rates. Could you post some more shots of your Titan?

I'll post some more pics tomorrow. My drive way is on a bit of a slope, I'll get some on level ground. I really didnt want to say an exact number of inches lifted, but on mine it is about 2.3. But I've seen a bit of height difference between stock models. Maybe it should be a 2.25" lift +/- .250. The kit "should" work just the same on a 4x, there will be one installed very soon, so I can get some feedback.
Revielle, a guy I work with is lowering his Titan, as of now a 2.5 inch drop would mean de-arched springs and maybe an airbag as a more progressive spring. I haven't tried it yet though.

A wonderful product that may alleviate the uneven look of our trucks and give room for bigger wheels/tires.
If you get a chance, would you post the maximum tire size?
Also don't forget to patent the product which I'm sure you've already started the process.

Ok folks, with the spacers installed, the lift is right at 2.5".

Already have installed the daystar before hearing about the problems.
The addtion of the bump stops sound like a good idea.
Can I get a set of bump stop with out the spacer for now?

Thanks

Jtd, i really dont think the bump stops would do much for the daystar kit. I personally havent used that kit but it is my understanding that there is so much preload that it is very difficult to bottom the shock. If that is the case, these wouldnt do much good.

Does this change the geometry of the driveline for 4X? Is an alignment required? It looks like it would still affect both camber and axle CV joint angles. Looks great. Very interested.

Alignment, yes, on my truck was about .200 toe out on each wheel (not at the adjuster, at the tire). A bit more bumpsteer that I would expect from a factory. But so far no need for a camber adjustment. That is what I came up with AFTER i installed the kit, it may have been out before from the factory, though. For those willing to attempt your own alignment, its easy. All you need is a tape measure (having a buddy help is even easier) and you just measure from difference in distance between the sidewall in the front of the tire (at 9'oclock from the side) and the rear of the tire (3 0'clock) and adjust the tierode evenly (so the steering wheel stays centered) so the tires have about 1/16-1/8" toe-in (closer in the front). There should be no reason for a camber or caster adjustment, as this will all stay the same as before. I did notice however, that raising the truck an aditional 3/4" will start to affect the camber slightly. As for the CV angles, i should have feedback ina few days reguarding that. But as S4Titan made his kit has a 4x, he reported no problems.

How has it been going down the back of large bumps? The suspension tops out with the daystar and coming down the back of large bump gives a jolt. Although I see where this wouldn't effect the shock, there is still a limit to suspension travel.

PrerunnerGreg, I can't tell from the pics. How much aluminum thickness did you leave at the bottom of the recessed bolt holes? Did you only cut out just enough to allow the bolt heads to clear the top and bottom surfaces, or did you cut deeper? Also, what is your shipping time? You've probably got a few orders coming your way. Thanks.

easy?!

Is this something that can be easily installed in my garage? What tools do I need and how hard it is. Is there anything I should know about installing this. Let me know what I should expect, so I can make a decison on installing this myself or having someone else install this.

Jeff
