Magnaflow Single Cat-Back exhaust

I just my magnaflow cat-back and it didn't have a Y-pipe. I thought all magnaflow exhausts are complete bolt on with not cutting or welding involved? Does magnaflow have a Y-pipe available to make it a complete cat-back? Thanks guys. I just don't want to have to cut the stock exhaust just incase i want to take it off.

Re: Magnaflow Single Cat-Back exhaust

yes magnaflow has a y-pipe but doesn't come with any kit dual or single.
they have test there system with the stock y-pipe and have gotten the best performance. changing the stock y-pipe they have tested they lost performance most system out now have mark the same as the stock system.

Re: Magnaflow Single Cat-Back exhaust

I have the Magnaflow with the Banks 3" piping. When I contacted magnaflow, about the 3" Y pipe, they said I didn't need it, but my experiance was that the 3" pipe from the resonators, and Y pipe was a bigger improvement than the Magnaflow cat-back.

Re: Magnaflow Single Cat-Back exhaust

Keep your stock Y pipe, get a Magnaflow muffler & stainless tip, get three inch tube, any muffler shop can custom bend it for the titan. You can build this total system for less than 350.00 bucks installed and IMO it's better tham the kit thay sell for the Titan. There is a recent thread somewhere aroud here that compares most popular mufflers and Magnaflow was near the top.(without the Y-pipe)

Re: Magnaflow Single Cat-Back exhaust

Check out the exhuast thread because the guy who put it up nearly put all the exhuast from Borla to Gibson's onto his truck, both single and twin exits. The Magnaflow single exit without the y pipes came out on top with the best gains. I'll post the dyno. This probably means the Titan endurance loves backpressure. But thats my thinking. Anyways, check it out.
