lowering the rear?

Since the rear leaf springs are on top of the axel Could we not move them to the under side to lower the back and make it sit level?

you'd have to cut the mounts off the top of the axel, and re-weld to the bottom.

This would lower you approximately 5" and you'd be sitting nose-high at that point.

Someone will come out with some shackles soon. Could shackles for another make drop ours too? the rear suspension on most pickups is kinda generic with respect to the leaf system.

2" Drop shackles would be perfect.

I don't know if shackles will help much. If you look at the rear leaf eye, there isn't much more room to install a longer shackle. Maybe an inch at best.

Wow, thanks for pointing that out. Yeah, the front of the leafs MIGHT go 1/2" and the rear maybe just over an inch, which wouldn't even lower the rear a whole inch....
Hmm... what to do...
Without compressing the leafs and having a crappy ride, I guess you would have to get a whole different leaf setup. Ours doesn't even bow down that much to begin with now that I'm looking at it.

I took a drop shackle kit for a 2003 Ford F-150 Harley truck and was able to modify them to work on the back of my Titan. It only dropped it a little over an inch, but at this point I was desperate to get it a little lower. There is not musch room between the top of the shackle and the bed, so we are limited on how much we can lower the truck with just a shackle kit. I'll get some pics soon to let everyone see how it looks now. I've also got a pic before.
