Vibrant Ultra-Quiet Resonator - My Review

Let me just start by summarizing my thoughts with "HOLY FREAKING CRAP-BALLS!" Maybe the best $90(ish) I've spent on the truck, taking my sanity, and the sanity of my neighbors into consideration.

With the LT headers, NightOwl mids (without resonators or cats), & catback, my exhaust was BRUTAL. I mean, pop pop pop pop - all grunt and raspy to an extreme fault - through the entire RPM range, but particularly bad between 1600-1900(ish) rpms.

Everyone in the neighborhood could hear me coming before I turned into our hood.

Driving with the windows down was brain-rattling.

My wife HATED riding in my rig.

My kids could hear me coming to pick them up from inside the MMA studio from the nearest light - probably 3/4 of a mile away.

You get the point.

Installed the Vibrant this morning behind the muffler as others have suggested, and drone, rasp, pop - it's all gone. Install was $40 at a local muffler shop, and took about 20 minutes.

Huuuuuuuuge difference. Very VERY pleased with the outcome.

You'll love it man. The grunt is still there - but the rasp, pop, drone, are mostly gone.

Re: Vibrant Ultra-Quiet Resonator - My Review

I would try these out, but having a dual in dual exit muffler, it kind of drives the price up.

Re: Vibrant Ultra-Quiet Resonator - My Review

My problem is that I like a LOUD exhaust. Setting off car alarms type of loud. And I have that right now but my drone is ridiculous because I'm dumped. I want to rout the 2 piped exiting behind the rear tire, but I'm afraid I'll develop CIS. Decisions decisions....

I just wonder what these would sound like in place of a muffler on straight pipes. Somebody try it!

Drone because the dump is aimed at the road. It bounces back into the bed so to speak. If you have turndowns have them angled a little bit to let the exhaust divert out from under the truck towards the outsides of the truck. I mean Titan!
