yep yep. At first your mileage will plummit. But once the user stops their head from spinning from delight, then it'll creep back up to what it was at before -- possibly a little higher.

I never read anything about it being a 50 shot, but no, with a 50 shot, you won't put a lot of wear on the engine. Most popel don large shots,k and uyse it frequently. It;s not the best thing for all-around, full time performance. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who's ran a 50 shot on any nitrous application. If he wants to race the Titan/Armada w/e it is, then so be it. I just wouldnt reccomend running nitrous, IMO.

And pc, I was reffering to the airbox that Volant has to go w/ some of their intake applications. I'm not sure if they have one for the Titanb, but I don't see why not

Even with a 150 shot you won't be putting any more wear on the engine than if you were boosting the engine by 150hp with a supercharger or turbocharger.

If simply adding a magically efficient intake and exhaust made 150 hp, the engine wear would still be the same, assuming the fuel was increased as well.

Nitrous creates power by adding more oxygen to the flame and by cooling the intake charge. A turbocharger, supercharger, intake, or exhaust does the same thing, increases the amount of air going into the engine. It'd take a pretty efficient intercooler to cool the intake charge by up to 75 degrees below ambient like nitrous can...

As long as the engine is getting the correct amount of additional fuel for the amount of nitrous being injected, and the proper amount of timing is pulled for the size of the shot, then the exhaust gas temps will be the same as if the engine was boosted.

My point is that basically no matter how you add the power, if the a/f ratio is the same for each method, engine wear will be the same for similar amounts of hp added

I understand fully, but I'm just saying, nitrous doesn't seem like the most "efficient" power mod, unless you only need the boost once in a while. For slightly better all-around performance, an intake, ecu upgrade, and exhaust should be fine.

Not to disagree with Bob, but a turbo or supercharger's power comes on from 0 to 100% as you increase rpms, while nitrous comes on like an explosion whenever you push the button or when the nitrous crontroller kicks in. My experiance is with motorcycle engines but I think autos would be about the same.
