Another Dyno Visit!!!!

Took the Titan to another Dyno today. This places uses a dynojet dyno. Very impressed with the operation, these guys know their stuff. Before I get to the numbers, here is my mods so far:
-All 2.5 pipe from cats back (no OEM resonators), Magnaflow 5x11 dual in/dual out, dual 2.5 pipe out to back of truck to 3.5 rolled tips.
- K&N drop in filter (no CAI)
Now conditions: 91.5 degrees with humidity at 45%. 87 octane gas. Non synthetic 10-30 oil. rear diff has been changed to M1. Truck only has 3400 miles on it.
Now the numbers:
Three pulls averaged out to 273.41 HP at 5000.23 RPM. Torque averaged out to 330.31.
Very happy with these numbers, no doubt the exhaust mods have helped. I believe now would be good time to drop a volant CAI in and go back for another dyno pull.

Heres some pics

Sounds good. I see you have aftermarket wheels and tires. Are the tires the same size as stock or are they bigger?

These are 20's but overall rollout is same. They also weigh the same as stock 17's so no performance issues.

Mike,
Good numbers! It would be interesting to see what the results would be with a Volant CAI and running 91 octane on a cool morning.

I didn't think it was possible for humidity to get below 90% this time of year in Florida.

Me either, although it was 9am in morning. But that is what his meter showed so I went with his number. I tried to take pic of graph, not sure if you can make it out. They are suppose to email it to me as well and that will be easy to post.

Just about all automakers report HP and torque ratings at flywheel, not rear wheel. A dyno test actual HP/tq at your rear wheels.

Will be ordering Volant tommorow and once it is installed and computer learns it, I will again take one for the team ($$$) and get it tested at same dyno, similar conditions. That should give a good idea of just how much the CAI does. I am pretty sure the numbers will be up

There is still a performance issue with larger wheels. Has to do with moving the weight further out. Still, the numbers looks good!

As stated above, all manufacturers after 197x rate hp/tq at the flywheel with all accessories attached (there are exceptions of certain engines being underrated: F-body LS1, 03 Cobra, and some that are overrated: 01 Cobra, etc). You will see this referred to as SAE, net, and BHP.

What power you see at the wheels is after all the rotational and friction losses of the tranny/driveline.

Thanks Paul,

Going to switch out to amsoil this weekend, hopefully with that along with Volant these numbers will climb some more. I thought this truck was fun to drive in stock form, now it is REALLY fun. The butt dyno didnt lie to me!!

You get any damage from Charlie? I live in Orlando and have an aunt in south Lakeland at the country club. She didn't get much damage but I heard the north side of town got hammered. We didn't do so bad here (a tree and some shingles) but others in town got beat up pretty bad. And now we get another one this weekend...

Not much, But "scott" (from titantalk) house was totaled by insurance company. He lives about 30 miles southeast of me. Gratefully noone was injured.
