Re: any one turboed their titan yet?

i really like the GTM kit but the price just a wee bit over my budget plus i have to spend another 5k on a beefier transmission
i think im just going to keep it simple. maybe just a 3 inch drop
cold air intake, full exhaust. and then just get another twin turbo Z32.

No one said they did. Still waiting for a GTM powered truck to go down the track.

Re: any one turboed their titan yet?

Before even thinking of forced induction, gotta get a LEVEL 10 built RE5R05A transmission, the one in the titan lol, you send em yours. 3yr unlimted mileage warranty, awesome deal! Nissan OEM can't even beat that with stock trans with equal or lower price even.

You're gonna spend easily $10,000- 12,000 to GTM Rotrex turn key and have level 10 transmission your Titan on stock motor. Then take into account of install if you have to pay someone to do those things.

THere is also long tube headers, full exhaust and most importantly a Detroit Tru trac LSD. Probably $1500 for those three give or take a few hundred.

Or you could just do Headers, full exhaust, 4in cai, uprev, and cams, and possibly soon a new intake manifold, and have a very quick and reliable, and mainly fun titan!

Trans mods you could do Transgo shift kit, Uprev line pressure torque table mod, and trans cooler. And also get a CSF radiator for sure! (OEM is piece of chit and cracks)

Even with all those NA parts I listed for less than $5000 excluding the manifold, even still you'd be under $5000. And then just run Nitrous!

Just depends on how far you want to take your titan and what your main goal is with the Titan.

THere are a lot of quick titans on here with just basic bolt ons. We have two low 13sec crew cab titans one is cammed and the other is not both with all bolt ons.

We have a king cab titan with like 180,000 miles on the engine or more and is uncammed with all bolt ons running 13.18s...

Options are def there for a fast and fun titan without having to overly break the bank, just be careful the mod bug is addicting lol.

Re: any one turboed their titan yet?

Bummer about the transmission, I would love to turbo my titan in the future. I can pretty much do anything, including building headers to tt it, with the exception of dealing with transmission internals. So from this thread I gather the upper limit of the stock trans is about 500hp? I had in mind a twin garret, doing custom pistons to lower the compression to about 9.5 to 1 and run about 10-15psi. That would be an easy 6-700hp without even getting into the upper limits of the turbo system.

Whos doing built trannys?

Toomnymods is back and his transmission has been beefed up by Level 10.
This is his latest thread.
Who's ready to see some 11's??

Re: any one turboed their titan yet?

Stock Trans will not hold up with only 450 boosted HP.
