Dual exhaust

I had a new exhaust system put on today. It's close to FontanaTitans. My digital camera isn't worth a crap, but I posted a few pics of the install and finished product anyway. I had them cut the factory system off behind the cats and remove everything including the resonators on back. From there he put on the flowmaster Y into a single in, dual out 70 series flowmaster. The tips are the 3.5" chrome rolled angled tips. I have only driven about 25 miles, but so far am very impressed with the sound and looks. With tax I was out the door for $440.00.

Nice clean install, Sportz.
Really like the view from the rear.

Very nice, turned a nice rear view into a great looking a$$-end! Sure would like to hear a sound byte if possible.

Hey Sportzfan! Nice job. I have almost the same identical setup and I love it. Originally went with 40 Series and it was too intrusive for my taste. The 70 Series gives a nice "muscle-car" start-up and great sound upon hard acceleration, without having too much drone at 1500 rpm and around 65 mph. Love it! Looks great - our Titans look almost like twins (sorry about the dark photo and bad angle - need to take more pics).

Looks good ! is there any reason besides personal preference that you went out the sides of the truck instead of straight out the back with the tailpipes?

I had heard/read somewhere that if you tow anything with the pipes out the back you could get a lot of noise bouncing back to you. Don't really know if thats true or not but since my boat is hooked up every weekend I didn't want to chance it. Besides after seeing Fontana Titans I thought it looked better.

is it truely cost effective to purchace the y pipe and do your same install rather than cut the factory y pipe out and just go dual in/out with a 70 series?
