I tell ya what those people in the factory really know how to crank down on the bolts and the drivers side is not big people friendly at all. I'm tying to figure out how to get the shield off with totally destroying it like I did....funny enough is that I got my uprev cable but no tune as of yet but I got to use the cipher and monitor how my truck was running and at full throttle I was around12.8-13.5 afr. My question is that the jba's have two sets of O2 bungs on each header one on the fourth bank of each header and one on the collector, do y'all think That the sensor should be extended to the collector port or just leave it in the factory placement??

I destroyed my heat shields too! I wondered the same thing, about which bung's to plug. Ended up leaving the 02 sensor in the factory location and plugging the bung's in the collector. And your not a kidding.... every effing nut/bolt on these trucks are tight!

I figure if they didn't put that split in the flanger hey might not crack.... Maybe.... Did you notice how close the header is to the motor mount on the drivers side??

Exactly what I was thinking, poor design IMO. Most all crack in that spot on the rear exhaust port. I bet the constant heating and cooling movement and the split flange is the culprit over poor metal castings.

I agree! Horrible design and should have been recalled. It was pretty close to the mount, no evidence of it rubbing ever, though.

Sounds good. What is your exhaust setup other than the JBA's and cajuns?
