Hi everyone,
long time lurker here. First, let me say i've learned so much from this site over last seven years.
Because of you guys, I installed lift by myself, jba headers and built my own exhaust....
I just recieved CSF 3328 rad from AJ. very fast shipping to NY. It was shipped directly from CSF
It is beautiful piece, at least thats what I tought until I took it out of the box... and found this:
What do you guys think? Should I just install it and not worry about it or
try to get it replaced? It looks like just leftover fluid from when they tested it.
The only think is, I dont really want to run transmission fluid through that cooler if its oxidized like that.
Going to call AJ USA monday. See what they say.

I bought the same radiator over a year ago and it has been in the box (unopened) since then. I just went out to look at it and mine doesn't look anything like yours. The nipple is not corroded and the base is certainly not rusted. In addition, the aluminum looked clean and shiny.
As asked above, "Is it used?"

It looks like it is used, isn't it. I ordered it last weekend from AJ USA. Was delivered yesterday. It looks like directly from CSF.
Interesting think is that the box was taped over the shipping label
Will call them on monday. Ill let you guys know what happens.
that really sucks...after thinking about it for about six months, I finnaly pull the trigger and thats what I get
ajusa has or had great customer service. Their main guy on the forum left and is with another sponser now though. But i'm sure theyll take care of you.

Talked to the AJ USA monday, sent them few pics too.
They are going forward those pics to CSF and have them send me another (new) radiator with return shipping label for the old one. Hopefully it will be soon...

In most cases, it's always easy to blame the distributor or the one you bought it from. I can speak for BOTH sides of the coin (i.e. distributor & consumer both in professional and personal) BOTH companies here are reputable and not in the business to make a bad name for themselves. Nonetheless, I'm sure either company will pick up the tab on shipping to/from and get you the product we work so hard for. This is what TAP Auto Parts believes in and this is what we work so hard for. Great Products & Great Customer Service is what we strive for. ~just keep us in mind when you are looking for that next product or mod for your car/truck.
Ohh no, I'm not blaming AJ USA. It's not their fault really, especially if the product is drop shipped from manufacturer or warehouse somewhere else. Ordered from them before (airaid intake), i think you were still there too Mike.
The main reason I posted it here is that some people buy product and plan on installing it later, without even checking it and then it might be a problem.
just as a lesson to inspect stuff when it arrives...
I know these thinks happen. Maybe my radiator was on the bottom of the pallet, last one in the warehouse in that time, got wet somewhere on the way from Taiwan, or wherewer they make them. Dont know...
Its all good.

I'm sorry, let me re-phrase that what i said... I wasn't saying your were blaming the distributor. My Bad. Lol. Yes, I always inspect all my products i purchase online so that way if i ever have a problem it's within warranty or time to get a quick return. You would think that the person who packed that box would of seen it or wouldn't it slide pass Q/C. Either way, I know that you should be in good hands for a quick turn around. It's the online companies you can't trust that don't have a phone number to contact them.
