Looking to redo my exhaust and need opinions

I have a custom true dual exhaust with high flow cats. For two years it has been great but one of the magnaflow mufflers are now causing more and more CIS to the point it's there at any throttle speed. I have no drone and it's tame and I like to keep it that way.

Would there be any reason not to go from a dual to single with a y-pipe setup? I have an 08 which come with duals anyways.

I would be looking into new b-pipes and catback. Then maybe switch the muffler to a Borla.

Thoughts, options ?

You could buy my modular true duals 2.5" manifold back, mandrel bent, ceramic coated satin black.

Further research and I might do the following.

2.5" bpipes into JBA catback. Then swap the JBA muffler for Borla.

Question I have is how long is the JBA muffler that comes with the catback?

Mine is 22" long and a large oval like the magna flow with no baffle. I understand the newer Jba muffler is a smaller oval muffler with a baffle inside. I did have a little cis being catless but the Ultraquite took all that out and tamed it a bit. Josh19k has the newer JBA may pm him for measurements on that muffler but I believe its 22" also.

Thanks.. I believe I have it figured out.
I ordered the JBA catback, didnt want to lose out on the great deal for 335.00 shipped.

Next, order some cajuns.
Once the JBA gets here I can measure the muffler and if all goes right I will order a Borla 400436 muffler (3" In/Out, 24" x 6.75" Dia. Round).
This should tame the exhaust and where the wife is pleased.

Thanks for providing me the JBA muffler length.
The Borla I'm looking at is 24" so I only need to cut 2" for it to fit.

Anyone else can chime in on their JBA catback muffler length it would be helpful as it appears there was a change at some point in size.

Re: Looking to redo my exhaust and need opinions

Borla and gaskets ordered.

I have confirmed the following:
- Borla muffler physical canister is 24" long and with pipe 29"
- JBA Catback muffler physical canister is 22" long and with pipe 28"

All goes well, should be able to swap with easy. Worst case I have one end of the Borla muffler expanded to allow the 3" IN pipe in.

Also, looking to remove the tip and put a turn down under the bed. Like it hidden... Plus, cuts out more drone, if any....

Will post more as I prepare and install.

Re: Looking to redo my exhaust and need opinions

JBA Catback is here.
Borla muffler tomorrow.
Gaskets today or tomorrow.
Cajun Bpipes are the final puzzle piece. I can wait as I like them to be right.
