Alright Radiator cracked today and my truck is leaking in my garage. I was thinking the CSF, but after reading this thread it seems that a popular choice is the Koyo. Is the koyo a dual core racing radiator as well? Don't know too much about it and what is the TruCool? Need to order this stuff tonight, so hopefully it will be here by tuesday. Thanks fellas.
Ugh...sucks buddy, sorry to hear it. Here's the original thread for these radiators. The TruCool is an auxiliary trans cooler unit. Since this radiator doesn't have an internal cooler, I ran the OEM cooler as well as the TruCool to keep temps down. Worked well so far. New koyorad all aluminum performance radiator
Yeah the koyo uses the same core as the koyo for the GTR R35R35. The trucool sr4588 is the model u want for transscooler and it will reduce trans temp by 20-25* consistent. You run it inline with factory aux cooler that is sandwiched between rad and condensor.
The koyo doesn't have trans cooler in lower section as the oem and csf do. Which in my opinion is a disaster waiting to happen, prob the whole reason the oem rad cracks at the bottom in the first place.
I'm still running oem rad with 100k miles on it, but I have bypassed the internal rad transcooler two years ago or around 48-50k miles ago. No issues.
Koyo is ur best bet. The SR4588 should cost around $60-70 shipped. And just need new trans hose and better worm clamps.
While ur in there I'd replace upper and lower rad hoses and maybe the T-stat with a nissan oem.

What do u guys think, should I go ahead and install my e-fans on stock rad while I'm waiting to get the Koyo? I'm tired of just lookin at it everyday lol. I wanna see if there is a power and mpg difference.

***Be prepared for that radiator to go. Same year truck and nearly the same miles and mine just went lol. Good luck man. Thanks for you advice and input on the tranny cooler as well.
Alright I know I said I was going with Koyo, but I needed to get this thing pretty soon and for cost comparison and CSF having the internal cooler helped me make my decision. Anyways new radiator is on the way.
I'm planning on holding off on the Tru-Cool after my wife told me to save some. Especially after telling her that I was going to replace hoses, clamps, and the T-stat. Wanted to get it, but not a major necessity since the baby is on the way.
So I guess I'll put that on my next mod list with my Transgo install.
Thanks jbowles for your help and being at my call lol.

No prob man, hit me up if you need any over-the-phone help. I'm not the smartest by any means, but I'll try to respond quickly! Try to remain calm on your install. I drained my rad and then got underneath to disconnect the lower hose. Guess who got soaked with anti-freeze? [raising my hand] Lol!
