Moroso Resonators (mufflers) installed

I got the Morosos installed today and it has been about everything I wanted. Here's a link: http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?CatCode=35001
Anyway, I put them where the resonators go along with extra pipe to keep it a bolt-in piece. The pieces are actually quieter than the stock ones as far as resonation with the Banks is concerned. It has a slightly deeper tone, but is slightly quieter overall. It sounds about as loud as before under full throttle and might be slightly louder at idle. A lot of the popping in the exhaust when revving it at a standstill is also gone. I didn't bring my camera with me as it was being installed but I have included a few pics of it. The flat spot before 3000 rpm is almost gone. There is still a slight hesitation in power but it doesn't last for a second, if that. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the sound as I didn't want it to be any louder than it was with just the Banks. Dragstrip testing coming soon.

the rusty driveshaft was the first thing i saw. That really pisses me off. I dont want to crawl under mine and take a look. At first i was so impressed with the size of the driveshaft but who cares if it is going to rust. The only ones with an aluminum shaft are the off road package.

sounds fun. i've been practicing my launch around town (when i feel like wasting gas).

i find it hard to predict what kind of lauch i will get. sometimes i dont even try and get great lauches, dont bog down and get some nice wheel spin. other times i'll mash it and try to fly off the line, and i bog down and get no wheel spin.

i guess the key is to ease on the throttle and once you get spinning, go WOT to get a good launch. i'll have to do further testing at the track.

There are zero traction issues at the dragstrip - at least for me at this point. Floor it from the get-go there.

Per the new signature times, the Morosos seemed to have worked out pretty good. Part of it is due to the temps being about 10 degrees lower so factor that in but it dropped about 0.2 secs and gained about a mph. 60' times were consistently 2.20s, which is better and with 3 passes on motor it never ran worse than a 14.98.

For 1/8 mile reference it was a 9.624@73.77 on motor and 9.268@76.97 on the small nitrous shot.

Next mod is on the way already. I picked up a set of the Chevy steel rims (16") for the rear to try some shorter tires. Hopefully that will help pull this heavy pig out of the hole a little better but I also hope that traction doesn't become an issue, either. Until next time...

You're quite welcome. It's fun just trying things out. Made a couple of mistakes along the way but that's part of it.
