More Questions........

Well, I thought I knew what I wanted, but had a friend of mine (knows about exhaust) look at it and he said its not an equalized system and will cause trouble, also rob the truck of low end torque. I was basically wanting what SammySandbag has except the FM 50 SUV.

Now I'm thinking about maybe the Banks Monster, but don't really see the point, its still just a single system. I wanted something that was a bit louder and a dual system, but it seems that's hard to do on these trucks due to lack of room.

Sooooo, guess its back to the drawing board on what to do to the truck. The dealer has already warned me about messing with the engine (wouldn't anyway since the truck already runs like crap). *sigh* What to do, what to do??

Its noisier than a 350 with an exhaust leak, sounds horrible. The dealer tells me its normal, but I find it hard to believe that a truck with only 13k on it should run that way. It seriously sounds like it has an exhaust leak or something like that, its not the injectors, I can hear those, but this is louder and only happens when the truck is good and warmed up. Seems to drive ok other than occational surging. Its a weird truck, this problem has been around since about 10k miles and is getting steadily worse, course the dealers are clueless.........told me to change the oil and that would make it better, so I'm running 0W-30 Amsoil and its louder than ever. Oh well, I still love my truck.

Its not anywhere near as quiet and smooth as it was when it was new. Its louder, but yes, its got more get up and go, so who knows. Also the fuel economy is better, getting 16 mpg hwy/a little city, running 4WD, snow tires, and idling. That's up from 13 mpg.
