Raspiness under load and upper rpm's

Ive had the JBA exhaust for a while now and it developed a severe rasp under certain conditions. I was under the impression that it was the muffler and y-pipe so i had a dual in- single out magnaflow welded in place. Although it now sounds better, it still gets raspy and has a clicking noise under the above conditions. Ive had two muffler shops check the flanges for leaks and have found none.

Question is, for those of you that either have the JBA or have replaced your resonators with straight pipes, do you get something similar? Im thinking about replacing the JBA resonators with the stock ones to fix this problem.

i got the JBA exhaust and same thing here, under hard acceleration next to a wall or curb with the windows down you can't miss it, it's pretty loud. don't know what to do about it so i just got used to it, let me know if you find a solution.

It sucks huh. I was under the impression that i was the only one having issues, and am confused as to why a company like JBA would release a product that has such a raspy sound under load. Ill admit that it sounded good cruising around and under light load and as a result it took me a while to hear the sound.

My buddy had an svt ford contour that he had the stock exhaust, including resonators, redone on and it had the same rasp. It sounded good on the inside, but from other cars it was no good.

Maybe tomorrow ill have the muffler shop re-install my factory resonators. If this doesnt work, im afraid im going back to stock.

I had complained about these issues w/ my Gibson Exteme Duals. It appears they developed a resonater to combat this problem different from the one I recieved. I spoke to Gibson and they are sending me the redesigned resonater.

I actually removed the oringinal resonater and replaced w/ straight pipe to get some more sound out of my system.(very quiet) The overall sound imho is better however w/ the sacrifice of popping under hard acceleration...At least I should have the new resonater to swap in if I choose...here's a pic of inside of old resonater...
