Dyno Numbers Are In! Stock Vs Volant Intake And Magnaflow Exhaust

Hey Guys I Just Want To Share This With You. I Did A Custom Magnaflow Exhaust With 3 Inch Piping From The Flanges Into A Magnaflow Muffler With The Internal X Design. 3 Inch Out To Side Exits. I Also Installed A Volant Cold Air Box. Dyno Session Was Done At Hookups In Upland, Ca. I Feel A Big Difference At 3500 And Pulls Hard Up To 5200 Rpm. I Will Get Headers Soon And See What That Does. Email Me If You Want To See The ActuAL Dyno Sheets.

Stock Hp Baseline:256.43
Stock Torque Baseline: 289.99

Magnaflow/volant Hp: 272.51
Magnaflow/volant Torque: 326.74

titan929rr, Nice #'s, I as well dynoed after my Gibson exhaust mod but no volant(it's on order) and got 271.27 HP and 316.93 torque. I've heard dyno inprovements as much as 40 HP and 15 torque w/ the Volant so I can't wait to dyno after I recieve mine to see if that's my case...

Wow! Those are pretty good gains. You should just post up the graphs. I would like to see the actual curves and see were it's gained and if any low end is lost. Thanks.

HP Coversion

To calculate your cranshaft HP using .8 for a 20 % driveline loss your at about 340 HP and 407 torque. Yah baby...

I think and the dyno tech concured that a 20% loss for the Titan being a 4wd w/ big tires might even be a low estimate and could even be more drivetrain loss so in all fairness that's w/ we went with.

Titan929rr, put the Honda on the dyno, lets see what it does.
Those are good numbers to work with on the Titan. I have the flowmaster 40 series duals from the local muffler shop and I don't believe that I gained a whole lot. I might look at something different a little later.

You probably wont see any low end loss i(if there is any) due to not being able to dyno an automatic tranny at low rpms (due to shift entension).

can you share the rpm that the peak h.p. and torque were achieved at on both stock and mod. runs. Impressive numbers, also what did you use for fuel.
