Superchips

Guys have a friend that should be lining me up with Superchips here in Orlando to start running tests on my Titan. They have not started a programmer / chip for the Titan and will use mine as a test sourse. Was curious how many would be intersted in a Titan Porgrammer / Chip here in the forum I may be able to get them to sponser us or a special rate to forum members. Let me know

Hi, I heard they don't do much for gas engines verses diesel???? Is it worth the money and for what?????? I'm in the fog over these devices.....a dealer told me it would not help me much.

If it's an actual programmer allowing you to modify fuel/air maps, etc etc then I would be interested. If it's anything like Jet offers then count me out.

If it alters fuel maps, timing curves, and firms up tranny shifts, then I'm in...

The Ford guys loves Superchips. I've read for the 04/05 F150 it made a world of difference on power and pick up. It also fixed the slow drive by wire on their trucks so there's a great chance it would fix the throttle tip in problems titan users are complaining about.

If it's the programmer vs just the chip I'm definitely in! you can program it for wheel/tire sizes, set it for premium or regular fuel, and a few other things.

the superchip for my car ford focus can do just about anything...shut off alt when at WOT, optimize a/f ratio, raise/remove speed governor, aggressive timing for race gas, aggressive shifting at WOT, custom idle, custom rev limit, early fan activation, disable EGR system, increase fuel pressure, valet mode 30mph max speed, custom burns for nitrous, other features available. Tell them to control anything that the ECU normally controls and chances are they can customize it .

I actually run a diablo sport in my car but I've seen LOTS of dyno's with just fuel and timing they can gain 10+whp. My butt dyno shows my chip added low end. But mine is a custom burn. I have a race header so O2 sensors are disabled, EGR is disabled, speed governor is raised to 130+ from 105mph, rev limit was rasied from 5200ish to somewhere above 7grand. I can pull my chip out like an old Atari game I have advanced timing too so I only run 92+ oct. I've revved my car to 5500 stock before it shut off now I stop revving around 7grand since I know its allready past redline. I ran it past the 105 mark a few times so I know thats eliminated too. But when I remove it I notice the car is slower and feels slugish like I'm driving around with a bunch of heavy set guys in the back seat lol. Hope this helps, it'll be sweet for anyone wanting to add the vortech like I want if I get an 05 sooner or later...
