Vibration at 65-80mph

Guys just made 2 mods and cant determine if one of the 2 have caused a horrible virbration at 65-80mph. Here are the mods done. Exchanged my SE 18" 5 Spoke for Chome ones from Calif. (Looks Awesome) and at the same time had PreRunner Greg's level lift kit installed. After having the lift and my orig tires reinstalled on my new rims I took the truck to a specialized shop in FL that actually strobe balances the tires on the truck and shaves the tires to make them true as possible. After I have left this shop 2 times now it rides awesome for 2-3days then boom this vibration hits....any thoughts?? Keep im mind did not have this prob before.

Did you have an alignment after the lift? If not that is probably your problem....

I'd get a road force balance from a shop with a hunter gsp 9700 balance machine. this makes sure the highest side of tire is matched with the lowest part of the rim to make roundest wheel and smoothest running. a wheel or a tire may be too oval to make a good match and in that case you gotta change one or the other. the machine can tell you which is the problem. juma

I second Juma's suggestion......I had my last trucks tires and wheels balanced by that machine many times for many years....and about 1/2 of the tires failed the road force test ev en new ones..it was a hassel and the tech. said it is very hard to get 4 tires to pass this test these days!! That is why no tire dealers in WNC have that machine!!

My Titan did this when I got it!

It was determined that ALL the wheels/tiers were way off balance...

I had the same problem w/my 22's and I found that they took so much weight that I would have some fall off fairly easy, and it would throw off the balance. I bet if you go look at the wheels you will see a clean spot on the inside of the wheel where a couple of the stick on weights have come off. Make sure they use de-greaser before they re-balance the wheels.

tires being out of balance can cause a wobble or vibration...but Wheel alignment does not...think of it like this...."angles dont wobble".
