Cool Who would of thought

I had a 1989 Mustang lx 5.0 convertible, the works pretty much, i took out the stock intake (it already had a new drop in K&N filter, but still replaced the whole intake, well i saved that filter for some unknown reason, its brand new in a box and i was going through some stuff when i came upon it, at the same time i was doing the airbox mod on my Titan, well i compared them both and they are alomost identical filters, except that the other one is a K&N from the Mustang, i dropped in the Titan airbox and what do you know, it fit almost perfect, off by about 2/8 inch on both sides, but the rubber seal around the filter covers the rest of the box, i was like that there my friends saved me $45-55 dollars, now with the airbox mod and K&N i can truly say i notice some kind of hp & trq increase especially above the lower rpms it just pushes you against the seat a litlle faster and harder, im happy with new mod, now for just waiting for the better gas mileage

I know this ICE misses his. 1990 LX with the 5.0 and only 105,000 miles. The wife talked me into trading it to a friend for a 96 Ranger and $$ a couple of months ago. The AC wasn't blowing and it had been parked for awhile. Synth. oil since first change amd all service was done on time. My buddy spent about $500 and the 5.0 was in tip top shape. About $60 to get the air fixed and about $400 on tires !!

That pissed me off (THE WIFE) and him only putting 5 bills into it to get it running perfect, but he is a good friend and I sold his Ranger to buy MY TITAN .

Sorry to threadjack but I still think about that Stang,

ICE

You know now that i think about it i miss the old mustang bored over to a 337 DSS stroker, (420hp 475trq naturally aspirated) but i had to get rid of her because of running into the law to much, you see when your car runs a 12 second 1/4 mile it will get you in trouble.
