Custom dual straight flow exhaust photos

I finally bit the bullet and had a local exhaust shop remove the OEM exhaust INTACT (for future use) and had them fabricate my exhaust from the catalytic converter back using a stainless steel, Magnaflow X-pipe and two FlowTech "purple hornies" straight flow glass packs. I never knew what to expect as I have never heard anybody do this conversion but I was pleasantly amazed at the outcome. Photos can be seen at my website at www.usantonio.com/Titan4x4link.htm Sorry to say that I do not have sound clips/bytes (or if someone could give me a clue on how to get and post them, i'll try to post some) but just imagine the NASCAR PIT. The system produces a very LOW mellow tone at idle up to 1200 RPM but becomes a BEASTLY ROAR at 1500 RPM and up. Costs: SS Magnaflow X-pipe@eBay 70.00, FlowTech muffler@eBay 50.00ea(2), SS 2-bolt flange eBay 38.00ea(2), 2.25" SS exhaust pipe@eBay 6.45/ft(30ft), Total labor cost: $371.00 and a case of cold Coors light (I would have picked up Corona if they didn't request Coors) You can say i'm one happy camper

Man, that system looks awesome and loud. Would hate to be your neighbor. Can't wait for a sound bite.

Very low deep mellow rumble at Idle, almost stock. But that's the only comparison to stock. Above 1500 RPMs makes me sound like an unstoppable lead vehicle at NASCAR. The white stuff on the pics is a weld antirust spray applied by the guys at the muffler shop. It's got to work because they sprayed it before the beer arrived. I went side duals because I want the exhaust to look as stock as possible and bark the "beastly roar" at the Hemi driver as my chrome exhaust passes his driver's window . The thought of dual rears crossed my mind but with launching my boat on a very steep grade would submerge the tips. I also played with the idea of duals in front of the right rear tire (ala-F150 Lightning) but they have to remove 3 inches from my Nerf bar to have adequate space and I was not ready for that idea.

I have also toyed with this idea, but it just will not work on a crew cab. The distance between the fenderwell and the cab is too short for it to look decent even without nerf bars. Also, if you have the truck running, then you have all that exhaust dumping immediately behind the rear passenger door which will fill your cab with exhaust and annoy whomever is getting in or out.

I really wanted my exhaust to exit there, but will have to get a king cab to even attempt it.

I can only imagine how loud a titan must be with glasspacks. Must be
like that 1959 Edsel I had with the 361 big block in it. Not too bad until
you actually gave it gas.

You would have enjoyed riding in my 65 Ranchero after putting on the
headers and driving it out the road with no mufflers and a bare metal
floor.

And I sometimes think my 40's are too loud?
