RB - thanks. Thanks a lot for popping my balloon and stealing my candy! haha. So my numbers aren't that impressive. Although, I did beat out all others that day by a wide margin.

Cal Titan ....GOOD NUMBERS!
Thanks. The shop I went to said they had dyno numbers of high 250s RWHP and Low 300s RWTQ for a stock Titan. So I feel fairly satisfied with my dyno numbers running only a few mods to intake and exhaust. I would suspect that decypher44's dyno numbers would be lowered by about 7 to 8 HP and 9 to 10 TQ using the SAE correction. Still very good dyno results though.

Re: Consolidation of mods, dynos, and track times

Finally made it to the track!

This was my first time going to the track. What a freakin' blast man!

I ran my beast 4 times. The 1st (15.41) and 3rd (15.59)(3/4 throttle launches) were the best times so thats the slips I'm posting. The 2nd run was my best reaction time.... however I spun the hell out of my tire (WOT launch) and ended up with a 15.8. 4th was 16.01 and figured I was pretty heat soaked by then so I called it a day... plus the tornado sirens started sounding off.

Conditions: 69 degrees and High humidity (tornadic(sp?) activity all around the KC area).

Ran fully dressed.
Stock steelies (245/75/17).
Tailgate and spare on.
Mirrors folded in.
Front tires at 35 psi
Rear tires at 30 psi (didnt want to hear the sensor alarm go off... i hate that).

Talk about a ton of rubber ending up on my tail pipe... jeez!

I'm putting my new wheels and tires on this week so I'll go again in a few weeks. Also, if I take the gate and spare off I just might squeeze into the 14 sec. club. Haha.. wishful thinking.

Anyways... I'm happy with the results.

Re: Consolidation of mods, dynos, and track times

Just got back from the dynoman.

- Dynoed her in 3rd gear
- 87 Octane gas
- Conventional Oil 5w-30
- BFG AT 315/70/17
- MagnaFlow performance muffler with MagnaFlow tip, Stock piping
- Volant Gen3 Intake
- PowerAid TBS
- 55.57 Degrees Fahrenhiet
- 23% Humidity

Here is what I got after 4 runs (All 4 runs were within only 2HP and 10ft/lb Torque):

245.15 Max HP, 288.64 Max Torque.

Anyone knows if there is a det detector in the Titan to advance the timing for higher octane fuel? My dyno guy seems to think there is one. He see's spikes in the graph that indicate timing is being retarded (someting in the lines of those words, don't quote me).

I might do a test with syn oil and 91 octane in the summer to see how much higher octane and syn improves the results.

My dyno guy also believes the big BFG AT's are the biggest factor in limiting my numbers, not only are they a lot heavier but the tread on them create a lot drag that really hampers the performance. Says I might gain 20HP by just going to smaller and smoother tire, no way am I doing that though as I need the BFG's for snow and going in the dirt, and going smaller tire is no choice as I love the look of 35" tires on my truck.

Here is the picture, and pictures don't lie

Right click on the list and select "save target as", and save it as a .jpg file to your desktop or folder somewhere.

Went to the track today in Fayetteville, N.C

Most of the runs where 14.9+ to a 15.1 though
Temps where in 70's with low humidity perfect clear skies, etc..

Re: Consolidation of mods, dynos, and track times

Nice times, Toomnymods!

I improved my time a little today.

Conditions: 69 degrees, 45% humidity, winds 5-15mph SSE.

Worst time was like 15.93. Terrible launch... spun the crap out of my tire.
2nd run was better. 15.36
3rd run was best. 15.29 (smoked a Chevy SC/SB)

Things that helped/hurt other than mods listed in my signature are:

front tires - 34psi
rear tires - 28psi (for 3rd run)
1/2 tank of 87 octane
tailgate and spare on
jettech leaf spring helpers
weigh a little over 5100 lbs
