I put one of these on Monday night. Sorry, no pics, it's nothing to look at anyway. I did just the cheap way for now, I just cut out the stock and clamped in the flowmaster. For experimental purposes I didn't want to spend alot. I'm not sure if I will like it or not. It's a good thing I didn't spend alot on it! It sounds great and I do like the overall sound but it has a terrible drone right at cruising speed between 1500-2000 rpm's. It is extremely annoying, to the point that if it's more than a ten minute ride it gives me a headache. I think I will just go with my initial plan and just spend the money for the Gibson. I've always liked the flowmaster sound but if it gives me a headache to drive it isn't worth it. What is everyone else's opinion on drone with various aftermarket exhausts? Just curious if any other is really any better? Or am I just getting older. Thanks.
Yeah, I'm gonna wait a week or so anyway, but in my past exoerience with exhaust's they tend to get louder as they break in. Do you think the drone might change?

I had the delta 40s and they had a very bad drone too. It gets even worse as the the sound gets a little deeper over time. To bad corsa doesnt make exhaust for our trucks, they dont have any drone. I had dynomax also but they were the longer mufflers and were to quiet. So far i am pretty happy with my jba cat back sound. I have had the jba's for about 7000 miles.

Did you remove those resonators? if you did, then you will gt more drone on highway. The bigger the muffler, more absorption to drone. You can try a longer tube style muffler, but the volume to absorb in those tube style mufflers just does not work well. I had a few on my 92 SE-R and they droned also. The Borla oval droned also. that I tested.
What we need is to have a stock muffler size with a deeper sound. I just want a little more grunt in the sound. I like the smooth freeway sound, no drone.

I left the resonators, just swapped out the muffler.
best way to get rid of the drone? install 2 big @$$ subs like I did and a thousand watts of ear blistering power. You wont even notice the drone -)

did you put any kind of tips or turn downs on the muffler. If not it will be ten times louder htan it should be. Try a set of turn downs that run just past the axel. That should help a lot.

The exhaust still exits in the stock location behind the passenger side rear wheel via a 3 1/2" s/s tip.
It may sound stupid but you could put a reso after the muffler. The guy who had the aeroturbine exhaust said the tech from aero told him to do it. Just a thought.
