throttle body spacer

has anyone tried this yet. i had one an a 2000 silverado and all i got was a aggervating whistle.

I read about these somewhere and it said that they are effective on single-injection and carbeurated intakes where the air and fuel are mixed at a single point well before the cylinders, but not on multiport -injected. On multiport, they don't do anything because the air and fuel don't get mixed until immediately prior to going into the cylinder.

On a side note, I have a buddy who also has one on a 2000 Sierra and has the whistle. He called the company and they said that the whistle is expected and not a problem with the product. I think it is extremely irritating and would not put up with it.

yea they told me that too. i ended up keeping it on there because i messed up one of the stock throttle body studs. i went to the chevy dealer to get another one and they said i had to buy the complete intake to get the studs hahahahaha. needless to say i was pissed, figured i would go to the junkyard and get one.
