Like usual, trying to hide what you attacked with.

Here "Show me your evidence backing your claim, I showed you mine, I respect your opinion but it's only that until you show me evidence."

Seems to me that was a good attack. Your data is also not fact. I know your % is way to high was well. But I won't continue anymore since its obvious you won't quit. Funny, I backed up everything I have said with facts. But you on the other hand.....nevermind thats right, your always right!. lol

Also about your drivetrain loss. I spoke my info, so has many others but your blinded. 4x4 only loses when ITS IN 4X4 MODE. Until then its the same as 4X2. The front wheels are not turning, the shafts are not turning, only the rear is. A AWD vehicle like my Audi has more than any car for drivetrain because you CAN'T DETACH 2 wheels. You must dyno it on a 4wd dyno to get the info, and it has a much larger % loss.

All NISSANS have about 15% for standards, and near 20% for autos. RWD or FWD.

You on the other hand keep believing what other sites say. But its not about NISSANS.

Like I said, I know more than you do on this topic, I worked in a dyno shop for many years.

All dynos show different readings. You can take the car to a different one and it will read a different #. Same goes for the car. Two different vehicles will not dyno the same. So your comparing results won't do justice unless the are on the same dyno, same conditions.

Oh yea, one other thing to say..

Anyone can do a search on the internet. Do a search, for DriveTrain loss on dyno, and guess what you get back. The NORM is 15-18%. Wow.

Hang in there Finnattic! I'm not sure you are right that RP produces more HP than other good synthetics, but your facts and logic are compelling and I appreciate your thoroughness.

I'm running Mobile 1 in the engine and still have the factory stuff in the diffs (yeah, they did fill the rear after all), at the 11,000 mile mark. My only "performance" mod is a K&N drop in. I bought and installed a K&N Aircharger, but it didn't do anything for me with the stock exhaust, according to my G-Tech Pro. I think I will be draining the diffs and putting Mobile 1 in both soon and look for any wear in the rear. I sometimes pull an 8,000 plus trailer in my Armada SUV, so it has been under some load.

I do have some concerns that RP may not be as rich on additives and may not be the best choice for longer use, but I change oil and filter every 3,000 anyway. There is good data that even with synthetics, some of the additives begin breaking down by then, and it's good to get any contaminants that may have accumulated out of the system rather than have them build up. Others may disagree, and it is expensive to change synthetics that often, but I'd rather err on the side of caution.

Don't worry about losing your cool a little bit back up in this thread. It can be frustrating when trying to make a point and the other fellow doesn't seem to be listening. A good difference of opinion is helpful to everyone - at least I think so.

All I asked is for you too post your evidence. Is that too much to ask? I feel bad for you if you ever have to go to court. What will you bring? Your mouth?

That doesn't cut it and no evidence doesn't cut it here. Is your word Golden?

Mines not that's why I showed documentation supporting my research. If someone presents some information to rebuke mine than good. I learn something. That's one of the reasons for this forum... Not a written word. Give me a reference or SOMETHING that supports your claims...

I'm simply appalled that you see this as a attack,"Show me your evidence backing your claim, I showed you mine, I respect your opinion but it's only that until you show me evidence." Telling someone that you respect their opinion and you'd like to see proof is attacking them. Do you work for the ACLU or something because with logic like that you'd be great over their.
I don't live off of opinions. I need to SEE evidence and proof or something other than mouth.

15% to 18% for cars, not 4x4's with oversize tires. That goes without saying all dyno's aren't the same but close enough for pretty accurate comparisons using SAE. Like I said I respect everyones opinion and you flat out called me a liar asking I posted no evidence and I took that as a personal attack. I re posted information supporting my claims as I did before you made that antagonistic untrue statement and I had enough. I admit I lost my cool and I apologized for it...Professional, not belittling untruths...I can also do without your belittling sarcasm, it's getting real old...

Both Finnantic and Titan-TX:

You have both crossed the line of polite discourse on this thread and unless you apologize to each other and clean up your posts, I will be required to put on my moderators cap, or "power trip" as some have described it, and put you both on the "unable to participate for a while" program.

Now what's it going to be, hmmm?

I was waiting for that. Then I accept your apology, and also apoligze back. I would like to recommend you and I both chill on our attitude I will call it in the forums. I got a bit pissed off when you started to call names, and act unadultish I will call it. But for now, take this as a learning curve for both of us.

I also recommend both of us to not reply to each other posts for a while, it could set us both off again.

37, I hope you accept this, and in my PM I was still flaming, so don't take that serious as well.

I noticed you deleted your post and I deleted the reply. I'm glad we did the right thing. Thanks for all your info.

The PM must have been intercepted by the authorities cause I never got it. I'm not going to reiterate why I went off. It's water under the bridge now and ditto on the recommendation. I am to take this as a learning experience as well.

I’ll stand up! I'm sick of your posts and haven’t even read the last 2 pages of this thread yet.Don’t get me wrong, I love a good debate but your posts degrade to pointless personal attacks and name calling that I find annoying.

Ok I finished reading the rest of the post and I'm glad this thread returned to debating instead of the flame fest.

BTY a few question I want finnattic to address.

1) Didn’t you think the original oil looked extremely old and dirty?
2) If they really wanted to show RP is so great why didn’t they then drain everything again and drop in Mobil 1(or whoever) and re run the dyno.
3) You have to admit the video is hardly conclusive evidence that RP is better then any other synthetic.

lowlypawn,

I'm not surprised to be hearing from you on this.
In the interest of having using this as a learning experience I'm gonna keep this cordial. I think you have a problem with me because I called you out for posting the same point that was brought up and addressed over, over, and over again. I don't think I have personally attacked you and if I did show me where and I will apologize. Could it be also that you have a problem with me due to my sarcasm in your "does the titan have throttle by wire post." I have a straight up right to the point style and I don't sugar coat. If I offended some than I apologize and I'll try to be more gentle and caring in the future

I'll admit I have gotten defensive in the past due to controversial post that I have discussed and I could have handled myself better in the flames.

I put myself out in the firing line when I post my gains and testing experiences. EX,G-Tech, 0 to 60, !/4 times. Dyno runs. Some of the results have surprised me and I have to try to show I'm not just claiming this stuff and making it up and I have alot of people challenge me and maybe I became defensive.

For the most part I give what I receive. If the tone turns toward the belittling smart azz side I'll retaliate. Now some people are more thin skinned then others and can't stand when they are corrected.

.

As for your questions:

1) Didn’t you think the original oil looked extremely old and dirty? Yes, it did not look like new oil.
2) If they really wanted to show RP is so great why didn’t they then drain everything again and drop in Mobil 1(or whoever) and re run the dyno. The test was about RP and not which oil was best. The purpose was to show the gains that could be achieved from RP and not RP compared to other oils.

3) You have to admit the video is hardly conclusive evidence that RP is better then any other synthetic.[/quote] I do admit this video did not show RP was better than any other oil. Other test have addressed this.

Have a nice day and I apoligize if I offended you with my wording and nice chatting with you.
