Looks like your typical piggy back system.
And therefore, it probably comes with the typical problems you get when you use a piggy back system on an modern adaptive ECU. The ECU eventually ends up learning around it and you run into problems. Piggy back type systems are only good on old, much dumber ECU's which I'm hoping Nissan didn't stick us with. Either a complete ECU reflash or going stand-alone are the only "good", totally safe methods. But obviously, stand-alones are much more complicated and expensive, and there's probably no good way to do custom reflashes yet.
