Wow, you think the CST lift was not that big. I think it is perfect size and isn't too overboard. My manager has a silverado with the 6" lift and my truck sits higher than his. It is actually bigger than some fords out there too.

WHOAH, 16's? what kind of back spacing are we talkin' 'bout? If that's the case, say HELLO to cheaper tires. $$
I thought we were clearing 35" tires with just the front spacers from PreRunnerGreg. I can't imagine wanting a body lift. They look so cheesey. Try a more agressive suspension lift.

CST also makes a Long Travel kit with 14" of travel. I think the overall height change was just over 10" (not sure if that was with or w/o the 35" tires)

I know what you mean about the CST kit, but I'm not sure that a body lift is

the solution.

My first question is: blocks or new leaf springs? When I pulled up to a recently CST lifted Titan last week, I found that my bed was a couple of inches lower ... it appears that my lift 'settled' a lot more than I expected it to.

Mike put custom leaf springs on his truck that lifted it 5" over stock and maintained his load capacity. He also switched to a longer driveshaft and 14" rear shocks (13" of travel). On the front, he's putting coilovers and 700lb springs... that will most definitely give you the added height that you need.

PRG mentioned that tundra 2.5" coilovers should fit...

I am of the opinion that if you build upon the CST kit with new springs and shocks, you'll have a truck which sits higher and performs better. That's my goal. I'm just waiting for my next deal to close. Anyone need a commercial real estate broker in Southern California?

I don't think that is his truck, if i remember it is black. I am also interested in what you were talking about gero, about getting a custom rear leaf spring.

16" wheels? I don't see how that is possible since some 17" wheels won't fit because they rub the caliper. I'd like to see some picts of this.

I currently have the tundra coil-overs on my titan, they are too short to just bolt in with the cst lift (and too long to use as a stock-replcement). A basic 8" travel 2.5" sway-a-way reservoir shock should fit perfectly with the cst kit ( the 6" version will fit perfectly on a stock titan), although there may be interference if you have a 4x with the intermediate shafts. Even then new lower mounts could easily be fabricated to raise the lower shock mount a bit to clear the axles and/or move then away from the axles.

That's not my truck, just the only one I could find w/ both lifts.

My truck is black and w/o stickers.

Another lifted Titan --gero's black se kingcab

Those photos were taken at SEMA this year. Not only does it have the 3" body lift, it has dual electric fans, and coilovers. It belongs to Mike in Ontario, CA. I must say that the body lift doesn't look bad on that truck.

Max,

I'm ready to buy new leaf springs right now... just waiting for the best price. Maybe we could both get them at the same time and get a better deal. I'd really like to get Mike's setup (keep the load capacity) as opposed to the CST (lose load capacity) option.

I've talked to National Spring, Deaver Springs, and the guys at Socalsupertrucks that installed my lift. They quoted me $700, $675/$750, and $800 respectively. With Deaver, I got two different prices with two different calls; and was told that a dealer/installer would get a better price. The socal price was with install.

If we buy two sets from Deaver through and installer, I bet that they'll go for $600 each. Most leaf kits for other trucks are in the $500-$600 range anyway.

I'd be interested but probably wouldn't have the money for a couple of months though. Socalsupertrucks is kinda far from me and i had a gift certificate from a place over here, unless the price is a lot better over there. How many inches is the deaver springs anyways?

The CST/Deavers are 4"

Max,

The CST Deavers are 4" and replace the block and stock springs... no more axle wrap and a better overall ride. Also, the CST guys said that they is a lifetime warranty on the springs... no sag!

Mike had them build a 5.25" lift into his spings ... so it's up to you.

He had CST build that into there? How much did that cost? Is that what you were looking for or just the 4" one?

I'm thinking about going with a 3" body lift also. My 37's are still rubbing a little after CST 7" and alot of trimming. I'm also considering the Dever spring/coil over option but I'm getting frustated waiting for someone to produce a good coil over for our trucks.
