Question....I installed the Daystar leveling kit and have the off-road suspension package with those junk Rancho's. What would be the best shock to go with after the mod (Daystar Leveling kit). What shock would be the correct length shock with the daystar kit?
The kit would not be bad, (Daystar) if Rancho made a quality shock! Are any other aftermarket companies making shocks yet for the Titan after being lifted? And are worthy? Bilstein, Edelbrock etc. etc.???

I don't think it's an issue of Rancho's quality. They aren't actually Rancho's, they just have the Rancho name on them. As for leveling kit's, the daystar may work fine on other trucks but the PRG kit is a superior design.
what isthe difference between the daystar and the PRG?
The PRG kit is a spacer that goes directly ontop of the shock assembley to level the truck, it has no effect on the ride quality or the performance of the shock. The daystar kit is spacer that goes between the spring and the top of the shock to level the truck. This method preloads the spring, changes the ride quality and cause it to over extend the shock causing premature failure. Hope that helps.
if you haven't had a chance to visit performancelifts.com, the PRG lift is only a leveling kit. the daystar leveling kit and the PRG lift are completely different designs, literally day and night, although the goal of both is the same. Quickwhip pretty much sums up the difference though. the research and design was done by PreRunnerGreg who in my opinion is a suspension genius. although a very basic design, he dedicated a lot of time in honing the lift to be flawless. i now have had the lift in for about 2 weeks and i can say, damn - I LOVE IT... eventually will step up to the Donahoe Racing Coilover setup (when available) but Greg's kit ELIMINATES the stinkbug, wheelbarrel, vato look. I love my titan SOOOOOOO much more with the lift in... if the titan came from the factory with Greg's lift, i swear Nissan would have sold double the amount of titans, but actually thinking would be to easy for Nissan.
Hope I will be happy with PRG. I ordered it on 1/7/05. Don't Know when I should see it at my door??? I'll take out Daystar kit and install PRG kit instead. Hope it will be a better ride!
The ride quality was the main reason I got rid of my Daystar kit. I don't have the OR package, so I wasn't experiencing any shock problems, but the ride was much stiffer than when stock. The PRG kit returned the ride to stock-like smoothness, I'm very satisfied so far.

sammy is absolutely correct, the ride is stock but actually is better because of the lift. bumps and dips that before caused my titan to bottom out and hit the bumpstops is no longer now that i have the PRG lift in. that was one of the first things i noticed, i couldn't believe it until i hit the dip again but at a faster speed. i can't believe you put the daystars in especially after all the threads saying that they're bad and to not install. you're struts would've have failed a lot sooner than later... good to know you've made the right decision!!!
Forgive my lack of knowledge here, but is PRG the "Gagnon Motorsports" kit on that aforementioned website? And just to beat a dead horse here, it wont cause the shock topping-out problems the Daystar causes and is okay on the off-road shock equipped vehicles?
Thanks!
