Ordered mine last week, should arrive 2/18......quick question/observation. How far do the tips stick out past the rear bumper? Looks a bit excessive to me....

Probably hard to tell from the rear pic but my tips do not go past the end of the bumper (2" back and 2" below it). You can easily slide the tips forward or back depending on your preference, then when you're happy with the location, weld them in place.

Yeah, they might swap the muff for me, but I'd have to run a new 3" tailpipe cause a single 2.5" would be too small. Besides, after playing Caltitan's sound clips a couple more times, the more I'm convincing myself that the dual sound is what I really like........stereo vs mono....kinda!

No rattles, bangs, thumps, or squeaks from the exhaust have been noted, but if there is a quiet squeak or rattle there really is no way I could hear it anyway. Every day I have gotten home since the install I have been double checking to see if it has shifted any or if any of the bolt connections have loosened and it has stayed secure. Hopefully I can get the welding on it done this weekend.

That was nice. Thanks CalTitan for the video and clip. I like quieter exhaust but it look nice. How was the gas mileage? Do they have square tips?

Damn, I was sold on the Magnaflows, but after seeing and hearing the Flowmaster setup, I think I'm going to change my mind. I just wish it came in stainless. I've heard raod salt is harsh on Flowmasters. Sometimes it's a couple weeks before it warms up enough so that I can run it through a touchless wash. Stainless would eliminate that worry. Anyone know if Flowmaster has a stainless version of this American Thunder in the works?

I'll report on the MPGs once the ECU settles in with the changes. I do not know if Flowmaster has any square tips, but I would think anyone elses square tips would work as long as they can slip onto 2.5" pipes.

I should have had you install mine. Did you have any trouble following their instructions with the driver side hanger? They told me they were going to revise the instruction sheet. Which exit set-up did you use?

Hey Caltitan, I noticed yout Titan was similar to mine. Similar in the way it takes off. Alot of people around here report "smoky" burnouts when they take off. My truck is just like yours, a big chirp and then your off. Not that I think this makes our trucks slower, I am just curious why all our Titans are reacting so different to full throttle acceleration.

5400' Elevation is the reason in my case.......no mystery there, anyhow...lol!

Well, I had a buddy help me out, and yes, their instructions are a bit confusing. Had to check your pick to see how it is done. I decided to come out the sides, but the great thing is I can switch it to straight back anytime I want!

Glad to have been a pioneer for you and others. Out of curiosity, I am thinking of switching to the side exits to see if the sound changes any.

Our build dates are pretty close too. LOL-I'll ask my truck if it knows yours. In my video take off I had the VDC on and was trying to get on the throttle fast without mashing it to the floor. The right side tire burned a little rubber but that may have also been because that tire was on concrete and the other was on asphalt. I have chirped them a few times since, but I've yet to really see if I can smoke them. Maybe some time when I am the only one left in my parking lot at work I'll turn the VDC off and see what happens.
