I just purchased cross drilled/slotted rotors along with the carbotech brake pads for the front end. Did anyone try this set up and did it stop the brake judder? I read a couple articles on the carcotech pads they seem pretty good, but do you still have to send them your pads for the backings to be binded to the pads? Or did they start manufacturing them with the backings?
I have the Carbotech pads and got them from Mossy Performance (TitanTalk sponsor http://www.mossyperformance.com/main/). Ask for Greg if you call them. They have better stopping power than the stock pads and much less brake dust.

the brake shutter was coming from the rotors, so by replacing the rotors you would definitely eliminate that. Hopefully this won't pose a problem when getting warranty work done.
Might I also suggest the stainless steel brake lines from Crown Performance? You can get these from Greg at Mossy Performance also. VERY nice pedal feel after installed.
When you say "very nice pedal feel" - break it down for us, mang. Sensitivity? Travel distance? Etc.
I can't speak for pciley, but I have the Crowne Performance ss brake lines and after changing to them and going with a synthetic higher temp brake fluid the pedal feel is more stout (less mushy then the stock set-up). Pedal doesn't feel like it has to be pressed to the floor. Combined with the ceramic pads, the truck's braking feels more confident.

I still have the rotors and carbotech brakes in the box. My truck is going in the shop on the 1st. They are fixing the window switch and changing my rear diff fluid. They also are going to fix the judder on front brakes. When I get it back I will do the install of the new rotors and brakes. I'll keep you posted.

Should have kept the stock rotors. And just had them cryotreated. The cross-drilled/slotted are more known to warp or crack than anythng else. They are also more for looks than performance.
The Pads will fix your problem. I have 3200 miles on my pads so far, 0 brake problems with the new carbontech ones.

Actually its the pads not the rotors causing the problem.
I still have Factory rotors but I'm going to give the aftermarket rotors a try. With the carbotech brake pads. I'll let you know if they warp or crack.
