Aluminum Diff. Cover - Large Capacity

I just don't get it. I got an e-mail Saturday from www.yourcovers.com letting me know they have only four credit card orders so far for the extra capacity differential cover. When I ordered mine, I was told they had eight and a lot of calls from people wanting to be put on a list, they need a credit card to count as a true order. I am beginning to wonder how many crying babies there are on this forum who just like to b*%$# about things, but really have no diff problems. Granted I have had no problems so far with my diff., but for $150, better safe than sorry!!! If they don't get 20 orders by May 1, they won't make any covers. I remember last spring conceptpattern.com said they were going to make a replacement cover, and now a year later they haven't made one. Mag-Hytec claims they are going to make one, but I doubt that either. I am curious, if our diff. is a Dana 44 design, couldn't a Jeep cast cover for the Dana 44 be drilled differently to make it fit ours?

BTW, the aftermarket piece sounds better, since it increases fluid capacity also. I think many will be worried if their diff will be covered under warranty should anything happen with the aftermarket cover...

My 2005 Nissan cover should be in in the next couple of days so that may well shed some light. No problems ever and this is just an extra measure to further insure that.
Big brake kit will be here when I return from Atlanta. If there is a problem with this site it is getting responses. That has been my lot at any rate. I inquired 3 times about a group buy on Gale Banks exhaust to no avail. Asked people about brake upgrades with similar outcomes. I just decided I was on my own. Whatever. The brakes on my '04 weren't at all bad but I drove a rental Nissan Armada and have a deep appreciation of what the 'brake judder' entails. I really just like the idea of having the ability to brake a little deeper than other 'motorists' might give a truck of this size credit for. If there is anything I have observed with this truck is that I think people under rate them in their ability to move. And I am certain a couple in particular came away pissed off over it. Screw them. PEACE
